As others have pointed out, so much class, talent, respect, sportsmanship displayed by Carlos and Casper. No drama, meltdowns, obnoxiousness, theatrics. Just two guns giving their all in a huge battle, trying to win by playing tennis.

The final was played on Sept 11 but the USTA president started the presentation talking about Ukraine and mentioned nothing about 9-11?? How completely tone deaf! Fortunately, Casper Ruud was aware enough to notice that the massive crowd was quiet and made some excellent comments about 9-11…very classy!

When Alcaraz got interviewed up on the podium, it reminded me of watching Nadal!s interviews from early in his career. 9:14

Who could have guessed the three musketeers were actually holding the sport to ransom at the baseline. Their departure from the center court unleashed the creativity and innovation back on the entire court.

Federer and Alcaraz are attacking the net with every good / even just decent opportunity they get, while nadal still just takes sure bets. Different offensive strategy category.. and im a nadal fan but its the truth haha his spin to opponents backhands won him so many slams it would be stupid to not abuse it

It's the first ever slam final of the battle of the century between 2 players born in different century ...my heart goes to Casper who look clearly disappointed standing there compared when he lost at Roland garros final..the two finalists look kinda tight n serious looking while standing beside each other...mmm.. they probably tired after the battle..and they are the new no 1 n no 2 as of the results of the tournaments they played n the ranking points accumulation say so ...congratz to them, respects to them....still I still feel Nadal still a no 1 player coz he won 2 slams n playing lesser tournaments coz of injuries...USO was only his 10th tournaments this year n the 9th with the ranking points exclude Wimbledon ....these 2 new no 1 n 2 are clearly played way way more tournaments than him with their 19 best tournaments results in past 52 weeks cycle countable towards the ranking points...as for Nadal only have 9 tournaments countable in his ranking points of 5810...clearly such big disadvantage by at least 5- 10 tournaments for him if compared to these players keep playing week after week... Nadal average ranking points is clearly higher than these players if just divide his past 52 weeks cycle total points 5810 over his past 52 weeks tournaments played - 10 (incl Wimbledon) but then that's not the method of official ranking points system... despite his injuries setback , difficult season, still big respect to the newly crowned top 2 players n other players, I truly feel Nadal has a such genuinely hi quality season in the with what he has done in the year's first 3 slams..2 titles , 1 semi ..total 4 titles in 5 finals, played so less tournaments with highest results.... He's no 1 in my ranking list... undoubtedly... hope he get the year end no 1 ranking n he just need two more matches win to equal Ivan lendl's all matches win of 1068, third place all time ..

Quien no supiese el resultado, pensaría que Alcaraz perdió 6-0 el partido. Ni mostraron el punto ganador del partido de Alcaraz, ni tampoco puntos de gran nivel en el que ridiculizó a Tiafoe de un lado a otro de la pista. Indigno de un Gran Slam ese "resumen" del partido...
