when i started bracelet making i just automatically started segment knotting patterns, it made so much more sense to me because i seen the patterns as a diagonal instead of a row
I think whether you use segment knotting or row by row should be decided depending on the pattern. I often use the row by row mathod in bracelets that requires a lot of forward-backward and backward-forward knots, because I find them difficult to segment knot
oh, learning this might inspire me to get back into bracelet making. Ive always done row by row, and i stopped bc of how tedious and frustrating it is.
Longer with a bit of stretch might be desired for some designs or uses! I segment knot all the time. It just logically makes more sense to me. It's even hard for me to think in "rows" because the patterns are diagonal, both in appearance and in the designs, compared to alphas (which I still haven't tried because I'm intimidated!). Segment knotting lets you run in the pattern, if that makes sense, whereas row by row is step by step. There's less of a flow.
I prefer segment knotting. I was a little stumped at first, but went back to the chevron pattern and it clicked. I like how my finished bracelet looks with segment knotting over row by row.
I randomly stumbled across your videos yesterday and you've definitely rekindled my love of bracelet making! I'll have to make a trip for supplies soon :) Your nails look super cute in this one by the way!
thanks for this video! i’ve seen people saying that you have to do it row by row because that’s what the pattern shows, but sometimes i prefer segment knotting. typically i’ll do row by row if it’s my first time doing a pattern but segment is way faster
Depending on the pattern i either use segment knotting or I know in the shape of a chevron because it still flows in a diagonal shape like most normal patterns but I don’t have to think so much about what order I’m going to segment knot in
I'm always quite confused when people say they do row-by-row because segment knotting is too difficult, but I think I've only ever knotted one bracelet row-by-row and I was so confused on that 😭
I noticed when you use row by row method, sometimes you can easily loose the alignment, so i switch naturally to segment method after only fews weeks of practice.
Hi! I've noticed that my knots vary from side to side. On the left they are uneven and ugly and on the right they are almost perfect. Do you have any tips to make the knots on both sides even and nice?😂
It really just comes with practice. I kinda struggled with the same thing, but the more I worked on doing both the more it improved! It just takes time :)
Ok, so I was technically right in my guess in the last video, but not why there was a difference in the string tension/knotting. It makes so much sense! I don't think I could do the row by row method. While I do understand how to do it and it is simple, the way my mind words, I get more confused with that than I do segment knotting for some reason. Everyone is different.

I can relate to this but instead of row by row i go diagonally

Alphas actually aren't that hard btw! They're pretty easy once you get the hand of the colour changes!

After watching this video I realize I am a segment knotter! I also can't read patterns (something your book is teaching me)
I love you'r videos❤
How did you start your bracelet! Not the
Loop but the sides with the colors!!
Helllooo Masha Knots!!
found the mistake so happy its not just me that does this, but i do this in both methods lol
I either Segment knot or I go down in rows like a chevron sort of shape
I'm always quite confused when people say they do row-by-row because segment knotting is too difficult, but I think I've only ever knotted one bracelet row-by-row and I was so confused on that 😭
I can't even believe people would choose to do row by row... it feels like torture lol
@@cori4727 I knowww
loved this design and i tried it my self. Do you know if you can make a video on a flower bracelet its #89616 on bracelet book?

How did you figure out the segment knotting? Did someone show you?
Can you make a tutorials for bracelet number 1, 2, 3, and 5. Like you did in your spring wrap up video. Paisley

with a pattern like this i would personally use segment knotting it’s just faster and the pattern is easier to get into my brain
What kind of bracelet is that? I really want to do it!
What is the bracelet book number for this pattern?
can you make a tutorial on a greek wave bracelet plssss!
How long are you're bracelets?
Can you do some more bracelet toutrials that are in some of your challenges. Paisley.
Hello also I saw this in the wrap up

As for your mistake I think you made a yellow knot instead of a blue one ?
Hey 😅😂❤❤
So this is the video that those bracelets were made for...
Класс!
I find I make a lot of mistakes doing segment knoting
I've literally never made a bracelet row by row😂
