I think DOOM is the shaman of hip-hop. He probably foresaw his return to Source/God. I imagine he formed an intimate bond/acceptance with death, in order to reemerge after his brother's early death. He reminds us that death is not the end, and of the grace/transformation that occurs when we accept death/sin/suffering as an intrinsic part of being alive; style, soul power, grace, joy and transcendence grow on top of this deep acceptance..

Mmm Ghool Rejjie is clearly massively influenced by Tyler to the point of mimicry. I can listen to it, he’s got vibes but I first heard this on my Spotify release radar and when that first bar came in I actually thought it was Tyler!Then I see this dumb comment like the dudes mind has been blown because Rejjie mentions how he’s a butterfly. Its derivative, its been done better by Tyler years ago. Its not just in the same lane as Tyler - it’s basically the same vehicle. I’m not saying you shouldn’t like it, bump it etc etc but trying to defend that he isn’t biting his entire concept - what’s the point? It’s obvious that the dude is basically a tribute act.
I like to think the final few DOOM lines are referring to his self realisation about his death and him accepting it telling us to move on and find happiness. It says: “A few jokes, but the underlying fact goes, It’s still a ray of hope to live happily ever after though, Disaster's what I asked her for, Now we stuck like plaster, yo, I has to go” I think that “her” in this context represents the afterlife to him. A few jokes refers to his rapping style, he cracks a lot of funny rhymes in his songs but the underlying reality is he’s gotta leave it now. The second line has a double meaning, even though he’s leaving everything behind to move on he’ll still find a ray of happiness and hope and live happily ever after which can also be applied to the listener, while DOOM is gone there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel to be happy and live a good life. “Disaster’s what I asked her for” could be referring to him being a villain and how his villainous ways as MF DOOM have basically been asking “her” to be with him or for her to take him away before ending it on the final line.
This song uses the same flutes preset on the instrument called the Mellotron. It was used on a lot of music, and many of its presets are iconic as well (for example the strings in King Crimson's Starless are from the Mellotron as well)

I thought of this song when I heard he passed, mostly because of his last four words, but DOOMs bars are meant to be broken down, and I think you nailed it, it didn't feel like a stretch, he seems like someone that would have the hindsight for this moment.
@@AnimeisGarbage me too. The overall vibe a song feels like a final farewell. The theme is life and DOOM despite of the tragedies he experienced (dj subroc death, being homeless, his son's death) he made the most out of this good life.

Your analogy doesn’t make much sense considering the variety of projects put out by rejjie between rejovich and this song that don’t parallel Tyler’s career at all. Because they’re different people and not even artists who put a lot of effort into cultivating a likeable persona cant be boxed into generalized categories like you just have. Mmm Ghool Rejjie is clearly massively influenced by Tyler to the point of mimicry. I can listen to it, he’s got vibes but I first heard this on my Spotify release radar and when that first bar came in I actually thought it was Tyler!Then I see this dumb comment like the dudes mind has been blown because Rejjie mentions how he’s a butterfly. Its derivative, its been done better by Tyler years ago. Its not just in the same lane as Tyler - it’s basically the same vehicle. I’m not saying you shouldn’t like it, bump it etc etc but trying to defend that he isn’t biting his entire concept - what’s the point? It’s obvious that the dude is basically a tribute act.

I like to think the final few DOOM lines are referring to his self realisation about his death and him accepting it telling us to move on and find happiness. It says:

I think that “her” in this context represents the afterlife to him. A few jokes refers to his rapping style, he cracks a lot of funny rhymes in his songs but the underlying reality is he’s gotta leave it now. The second line has a double meaning, even though he’s leaving everything behind to move on he’ll still find a ray of happiness and hope and live happily ever after which can also be applied to the listener, while DOOM is gone there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel to be happy and live a good life. “Disaster’s what I asked her for” could be referring to him being a villain and how his villainous ways as MF DOOM have basically been asking “her” to be with him or for her to take him away before ending it on the final line.
