i got an idea, you could put the lever INSIDE hidden with the blocks, and then right-click a grass block with a shovel and the lever will be seen, it's hard to notice but easier than putting a lever somewhere random where someone can easily access your base by right clicking it

Tip add a torch tower and now boom you can destroy the lever after closing the base
