I talked to the creator a few times in the past. He’s a chill dude, and I will no doubt admit, FNAS is a cool take on Smudgers as a character in Thomas and Friends. He’s only mentioned once in the show, and never brought up again. This fan made FNAF game series perfectly continues his character. While yeah, it does suck this fan game series is forgotten, it was nice to have it while it lasted.

FNAT was a joke series that doesn't take itself seriously, and doesn't stick to the source material at all, while FNAS takes itself more seriously, and is extremely respectful to the source material. You can tell Five Nights at Smudger's was made by a fan of the original show, and I can appreciate that, since I'm also a fan of the original show.
I think the reason the game has a password system instead of a save system is because the developer might not have known how to program a safe system so a password system was easier for them

I am still surprised that smudger even half his own Fnaf version game, if only they had 3-D models in the first game then maybe I wouldn’t be so mix about it.
