an authentic Bagua master is lethal... normally those that r above 40 n above will not be physically strong enough to practice Bagua.... in d ancient days u had to practice Bagua under a 4 feet high platform to strengthen your footwork... hardly any really good master around nowadays... it use to be d favorite of Imperial guards
Yes I agree, there are hardly any true masters for any type of kung fu. Whether if it's Bagua, Wudang, Tai Chi, Hung Gar, Wing Chun, Choy Lee Fut etc..
I practice baguazhang and agree you don't need much muscle. Strong legs, definitely, but you can get that from standing meditation and especially low postures. Old people can practice it, it's fine
@@fian44 it's all taught as an integrated system, with xingyi, taiji, bagua, medical qigong. Bagua accomplishes the effects of zhan zhuang through circle walking as long as it's done properly. And if you do it with a low centre of balance you'll get strong legs. Xingyi also effectively does zhan zhuang during the five elements themselves, some Xingyi systems teach it separately some see five elements + santishi as already good enough. If you're doing wuji in the taiji/qigong practice, and santishi + five elements, and circle walking + eight palm changes, and other bagua and taiji exercises, and, heck, why not, also eight postures of yiquan because why not... well there's some redundancy. The legs will be strong. Bagua doesn't need to teach pure zhan zhuang, but it isn't missing it.
I accidentally discovered bagua playing with double sticks in the forest in a circle around a tree. I saw some on youtube years later and picked up some more. I'm heavy into weaponry. peace.
1sunstyle ... Yes, people would learn kung fu faster if they realized we can invent most of the external movements on our own. We can learn most fight tactics just by sparring with a friend. And now with the internet you can learn most high-level body-mechanics and breathing techniques on TH-cam. The only thing we need a master for is spotting mistakes that are impossible for us to see when we're in the middle of executing what we've learned. 100% of a teacher's time should be spent on these corrections, not on watching a class of suckers do it wrong 10 times without feedback.
Girl be straight up airbending
Zhang will be the fist to say she's not really a martial artist, but if she could fight half as well as she acts, she'd be a world champion.
The Grandmaster choreography is top notch.

i dont think so. baguazhang is inner martial arts. not about the muscle alone. even the older can practice this baguazhang

@@diphyllum8180 i just knew that zhan zhuang is not there in baguazhang system, Sir. you must correct it, and take a look again.

I don't remember seeing this part in the movie... Curious, as the scene was better than most of the other scenes...
This was in the Weinstein edit of the film.
That’s going to be my baby one day 🙏🏾🫡🌹

What with building all those cars and electrical goods, how do they get time to do this malarkey.
+bmwnasher You're not confusing these good folk with the Japanese I hope ;
nh6central No you seen the car brands they own, and the leccy stuff they sell on ebay. lol
Oh yes, division of labour. These guys aren't involved with that ;
+bmwnasher You are thinking of the Japoneze, my friend. The Americans are in fact predominately large and lazy and barely worthy of my time.
Jesus Christ 23.731.600 units in 2014 i would say makes me right. right, ps did you know that Muslims believe in you.
