- It's that time of year again-feeling the need to clear out my collection to get a better sense of what I have. I did pretty well and cleared out a full 30% of my large palettes.

@@bedazzledbuddhist Vanity Makeup, Amuse cosmetics and Hank and Henry :). Maybe I'm not following indie makeup brands too closely since some of them are kind of hard to obtain here in Europe.
This was a great, well thought out declutter. I do wish more brands did removable magnetic pans. I keep my collectible palettes in a airtight sealed storage container, mostly the odd shape Glamlite that I don't use now but Love the packaging & theme and still enjoy looking at.

Me clutching my pearls as you declutter Oden’s Eye 😂 I was on Mercari looking at the Jewels and Gems palette. You have a lovely collection! I struggle with a lot of the same things you do when it comes to makeup. It brings me so much joy but also, do I actually NEED it? ❤ My answer is always yes 😂😂😂

If you’re looking for singles may I suggest Sydney Grace? Her formulas are very nice, the price is right, she also offers monthly bundles so you don’t even have to think about a color story. My all time favorite was makeup geek (sadly her company closed) I think I own every shade if not multiples. I am currently Decluttering not just my makeup, but my entire life. I have an emotional issue letting go of things. I’m realizing just how silly and useless holding on to material things has been for my life. It’s serving me or my family no purpose. If anything it’s doing the absolute opposite. I will say I am completely overwhelmed. But I’m taking it day by day and I am really trying. My fiancé (god bless him) has been so patient and understanding…but I know if I really got rid of 75% of the items I’ve built up over our 14 years together, it would help him feel more at peace and he deserves to feel comfortable in the home he provides. I’m not dirty our home is clean it’s just cluttered and untidy. He has even offered to hire a company to come in and help me. I think when I’m done Decluttering the kids things that’s when I will take him up on hiring some help. If anyone on here has any tips to help me stay motivated or ideas on how to really focus and dig in, without bouncing around….I would love to hear. Thanks
Hi Kelly, So glad to meet you and thank you for watching and commenting. I understand you 1000%. When I moved from a house in Maryland to a small apartment in NY it was the best thing ever because we got rid of so much stuff. Life happens, don't beat yourself up. My advice is don't wait to hire some help. I did that because I wanted to get organized before a stranger came into my home, but once the home is clean you feel relieved and more mentally able to tackle decluttering. Start small by decluttering a single drawer or a single shelf. And check out Dana White's channel. She really helped me with her methods.
