Mitsui, never lost against his matchup, but there are too many players not on this list. Dai Moroboshi 'the star of Aiwa' Is the level Mitsui could have been if he continued to train. Moresge is basically the Shaq of the series. Take out Akagi who would lose his matchup against 2 other centres. Same with Fujima. He would lose against 3 other players in his position.
Unfortunately he does, namely his lack of determination to become the very best. While Rukawa also loves to slack off during his off time, he is still focused on dislodging Sawakita as the no 1 player in Japan. Given time, Rukawa will definitely overtake Sendou. Sawakita is actually the one without weakness, esp. if he learns how to pick himself up after the defeat.
If we include the manga, the list has to be a little different. Also Hanamichi shouldn't be in the top 10, at best he is in top 20 with his low basketball IQ and an almost non existent offensive bag, his defense and rebounding doesn't make him a good enough individual player. for a top 10.
He who controls the rebounds, controls the game though. He was the main reason Mitsui could throw caution to the wind and jack up threes. Since he knew Hanamichi would be favoured to get the rebound. Not arguing your point though. Just giving some opinion.
@@gold6813 I like him as a character but just NO. There are other players as good as he is in rebounding and with more skill set than what Hanamichi can offer. Sakuragi is a dark horse though cause teams always lose against Shohoku whenever they don't take him into account.
