Many times i also thought I lost the trail as it was very foggy near the top. Thankfully the All Trails app got me to the summit and back safely. Appreciate your comment!
Be really careful. This one is tough, and there are some very steep and slippery sections. Visibility won’t be good this weekend either. Good luck, and let me know how it went.
@@WalksOfWonder-BC unfortunately the plan got foiled the group was a bit too scared and for good reason so will attempt it either next year or if the next week is a bit better
You gave this video and hike a great title . Challenging and beautiful!! You do manage to find the Rock and Boulder Fields. Parts of it reminded me of the movie Lord of the Rings :) Thanks for sharing .... PS if your friends and family tell you, you are a wee bit Nuts believe them... Thanks Again

My 89-yr old parents have hiked a lot of BC. Can't do it now, but they are LOVING doing it virtually via your videos. Thank you SO much for these opportunities! Oh.. What are the red marks on trees and boulders on Brandywine hike?
It’s interesting that you mention this, because that was one of my reasons for starting this channel. My mother is 88 and could no longer do her favourite hikes, so I thought I’d record them for her and put them on TH-cam. I was hoping that there were other people out there in her situation who would also benefit from virtual hikes. Thank you for sharing!!

Yep the west coast of British Columbia where I come from but can’t afford to live there unless it’s in one of those trees. I think they’re $900 a month with damage deposit of $3000.

Brandywine meadows has a primeval feel to it, almost mystical. Similar ambience to Brew Lake. Thanks for the excellent video, must get back there
It really does! It’s a magical place. I’ve never been to Brew Lake, I’ll have to put it on my list. Lots to explore in the Whistler area.

I’m doing this hike this Saturday will be snowy and freezing so I got some crampons but hopefully I can make it up

I think the red marks are the trail markers, since the trail is quite difficult to follow once you’re out of the meadows.

Yes, some of the snow is permanent and there's also a glacier up there that you can see from the peak. It is a bit like Nepal!!
