- Sometimes you just have to get out and go solo to explore and find adventure. I take off in my Gladiator Rubicon on off road trails in the Ozarks that I hadn't been on in years and camp in 25 degree weather and have a great time! Just GO!

Overlanding is a lot like traveling in RDR2. It’s just beautiful and can be challenging at times. Maybe some love it because it’s what our ancestors did.
im glad you mentioned trash left at camp sites, we picked up a whole trash bag full at one of the camp spots in ozarks last weekend.

Been offroading the Rockies for years, but live in Ozarks area now and after seeing a few videos such as yours here, I'm chomping at the bit.
Deep cut with the Ferngully reference.
Last weekend myself and a buddy did the High Water Mark Trail and it was my first time in the Ozarks, my wife was so jealous of all the great pictures we took that she said she will be going next time. Also I want to say thank you for taking the time to answer all my questions before we left. Again great video and keep up the good work.

@@SOutdoors Just what was changed from the x-recon package? Looks like Smittybilt front bumper and side steps. It is a nice rig. 🙂
@@johnfulater2945 Thank you. My wife loves it, especially as she helped with a bunch of the mods. The front end is a Vader grille (no idea what brand, it came off my Gladiator) with Dv8 headlights and Roxx LED Turn signals. The bumper is the SmittyBuilt XRC with armor and original non-led fog light housing but upgraded Lasfit amber/white switchback led bulbs. She has an OpenRoad Panther 2 with a flip up licenses plate bracket (normal fairlead and hook). She has an ASFIR engine skid plate and the SmittyBuilt Apollo Rock sliders. The rock lights are Mic tuning C2 and are split as courtesy lights and aux lights. The rack is an LOD Off-road Destroyer with Sliding roof rack, steps, deflector and a bunch of other items. Wheels are Jeep recon 17 inch beadlocks (not configured right now) wrapped with 35 x 12.5 BFG KO2. Factory size for the recon. There is no additional lift yet, there will be something in the front to help with the additional load of the bumper and stuff. Let me know if you have any questions on any of it.

First time in the ozarks me and my buddies in a jku. Thought it would be a good idea to ride with all the doors off in 20 degree weather at midnight. Went down 5500 by the union school and back out 5550. Pretty interesting night. Water was very high.

Good morning. After watching your video I've decided you're the man I need to talk to. I'm planning an early fall Jeep trip into the Ozarks for my wife and I. Funtreks doesn't have a book for Arkansas, so any advice or trail recommendations would be helpful. I would like to start a dialogue with you, so I can explain my Jeeping experiences and skill level so I can plan the best trip thank you for your time

Was that an RV park, or homestead at the 23 minute mark? If you are attending Bonfire rally, do I need to be a patreon to join you? Seems like Natural State Overland is still planning it so no dates yet, but I'm really hoping to go for the first time! I got a 99 Explorer with a V8 and AWD. I should be able to put M/T and bumper with winch on it in January.
It was just someones house. We will be at the Bonfire! Our Bonfire Run trips are just me and my close friends getting together for the weekend.

As a newcomer to the offroad TH-camr world when and where do you decide to get B roll of the jeep/s rolling through or over obstacles, do you know know the trails and locations beforehand or just take the time to setup the shots. Or wing it like I do?

@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Thank you! Ordered one. What do you think about extending the clean air intake? I've heard you want to pull the air from the area you are heating as that will make the heater work less (and therefore better). Is that sound advice? Any source as to where I could buy an extension? Looks like it is 25 mm or 1" in diameter.

Hi Matt, I'm looking for a fairly priced gladiator front bumper to support a 12k lb winch AND keep my stock gladiator LED fog lights. Seems people have trouble sawpping these fog lights over. Any tips?
