    • @MechanicMindset
      @MechanicMindset  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, great question. I think it would be ok if you use an attenuator. You can get a 4:1 attenuator which will take it to 80V maximum. I have a 20:1 attenuator for a maximum of 400V, which is probably a bit over the top! 👍

    • @MechanicMindset
      @MechanicMindset  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I can, but the only network down there is Diagnostic CAN. I prefer not to front probe, and this spot it easy to get at. Other vehicles, all the networks can be accessed at OBD

    how much better would a pico 2205a perform over the 2204a. I haven't seen the 2205a in action

    • @MechanicMindset
      @MechanicMindset  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t either. There is slightly better frequency, sampling rate and rise time. At low time scales, I doubt you would tell the difference on automotive applications. You might get a better image when sampling at a higher time base and then zooming in

    • @Quickwrench75
      @Quickwrench75 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MechanicMindset I have both now and the 2205a does better detail than the 2204a. I will make video on them both soon and post. Will let ya know when I do. The 25mhz over the ten almost seems to make it appear to have higher but rate than then 10mhz. Or it could be then laptop I am using. I tested with 2204a on a cheap pc and the 2205a on a higher end MacBook Pro. Just not sure id 2205a worth the extra 100.
