Only thing I realize is sometimes after all of this and you get the 100%. if the device dies or is turned off it may come up with battery message. But a restart can fix it. Regardless thanks for all your hard work.
hi, Could you advice me for iphone XS? This xs battery for XS is able just to program using jcid v1s, so this programmer set battery to 100% and 0 cycle but phone (ios 17.7 or 18.0.1) shows still service and 82%. To fix it is past it was only necessary to plug other xs battery, boot XS to see non genuine and then back to original BMS battery but now XS still shows SERVICE and 82% health. How to fix it (there is no tag-on flex for XS battery)?
Does anyone has this problem while Fix Battery Flashing with 3utools with ios 18.1? "Unable to exit recovery mode" It works with itune flash but 3utools fix flash isnt working :/ And im stuck with Important battery message
Its easy, on the first flash, you will get the "recovery error" thats ok, unplug the battery, plug it back, go to DFU, and now make sure to NOT check the battery fix box, flash the ios 18.1, once done check the battery % it will be at 100%, this work for me on 12/13/14 i have not tried it on 11
With a Quick Flash (by ticking the "Fix battery health" box) when you go from 34% to 6% download with the "Reboot" message : disconnect and reconnect the battery, as in the video. It's the same for both the 18.0 and 18.1 updates. I hope you made it, peace
Another easier method. Update to iOS 18.1, then use a n oem battery from another iPhone and configure it by going into diagnostic mode( turn off phone, then press and hold both volume bottoms and then plug into the light). Then take it out and do the same process w the new battery. 100% result
There could possibly be easier methods, but using an old used cell is not honest nor proper. The Method you refer to is viable using a non native BMS welded to a Brand New xCAP Cell. In this instance a TagOn will still be required. The additional problem, is Apple patched this method in 18.0, and in 18.1 Repair Config is non functional. That method currently only works on 18.0.1. Boosting a dead cell is poor practice.
@@bradleymcguire7046this is injured gadgets son, what you talking about? We obviously weld the original flex of the old battery into a new cell. 100% new battery, what’s so wrong about that?
Nothing wrong with using New Cell, and utilizing original equipment to manage the lithium would be best practice over some aftermarket BMS. All im saying is that updating battery data on a a BMS attached to a used cell is not proper. @Lux197live
This is boosting an old dead cell, DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS. I can support the theory behind using a new cell with non native OEM BMS for such Calibration, but what you have presented is not an honest procedure.
@@bradleymcguire7046thank you! so sick of seeing people say that crap! I purchased an iPhone XS Max just for a backup phone while I sent my 14 Pro Max to get fixed. I paid top dollar for it because the battery showed 98% yet I was charging that phone 4+ times a day.. the guy I bought it from had to use the dishonest procedure. As soon as I got my phone back from Apple I sold the phone on eBay for parts, even though it was in mint condition and showed minimal battery wear. People are taking these videos meant to help them and using them to scam people.

Do u get a battery service error when swapping battery with a different genuine iphone battery with a separate BMS?
yes
what batteries will this work for, what is a tag on?
This will work for our xCAP BMS and Connect style batteries. TagOn helps calibrate new battery data on encrypted devices.
