Our country is fighting against a large group of people who have been mesmerized by a charismatic narcissist. You carefully vet candidates and vote. Vote blue from top to bottom, in local elections as well as midterms and presidential. You keep doing it every year until they are gone and you keep doing it to keep them out. You join your local political groups and see if there is any help you can give there. If you can afford to donate to the party or a prefered candidate then do. Keep an eye on those in your district (local, state and federal governments do have official websites that they keep their information and official business listed on) that are in and contact them with concerns as often as it takes to be heard. Learn all you can about how the system works both in your area and on the federal level. If we ignore these things then this is what we get, and we deserve it.

The boss stopped listening to his writers around the time his trials started. Hannity, the Miller boys and whoever else gets through to him were giving him lousy scripts, but at least they were trying to help him. He's not listening to them or his lawyers anymore, and his reality show gets more stupid by the day. His content does not matter to his fans, as they need him to do a job no one else will do. He's a lame standup comedian, but his audience loves him and will laugh at his "jokes".
Civic engagement is now reality TV and there is an opportunity to launch a new show that is not about politics or policy. A program that can break through to young people with compelling content. Once young people are engaged, they will vote as they will, and our great nation will get back on track. The script is written and ready to launch. We can consider it for production, or we can stay tuned in to Celebrity Assclown. It’s a choice.
