The jail girl's house is actually the lonely house in the lake, she mentions she tried throwing her husband into the lake if I recall and says shes slammed him on the *bed with a hammer, tried bombing him in the oven, and arrowed him on his chair* and asked you to finish him cause he was still alive, you had to do exactly each step in the lonely house to get access to the basement where her husband is at in a coffin as a Gibdo, defeating him gets you a bottle if I can remember correctly. I think the S. House might be owned by the Zoras imo. Maybe the Zoras wanted to get rid of the cows because they don't produce "Zora Milk" and used the S. house for it, I mean they are pretty shady and King Zora is locked up deep in the basement of the place (They don't want him as maybe he disapproved of the whole milk thing is my theory) where another guy is also locked at, a guy in town asked you to find his lost bro who worked at the sewers and hasn't returned which is the locked guy at the S. house, that room he's in even leads into the sewers.
Cheers! It was really interesting to take a look at a much more mature take on Zelda. A lot of my favorite pieces of lore in Zelda cannon are the ones that have darker undertones, so this game was basically made for me XD
The game tells that its very difficult to stand against people who are united and influential. Ganonderf was mostly alone alone and hated by most tribes and even some greduos. That's why hero of time , who had support of all those people was able to defeat him. The zoras on the other hand were popular and liked by most, even the hero of time seemed to admire them. When he was on his quest, he even didn't knew his enemies, unlike in hyrule. He thought that his enemies were the people who lived there he killed. After a while he started to predict his path ahead which were mostly right. But in the end, things which happened were absolutely unpredicted. That's also why Link failed. Last but the biggest reason was the betrayal of Nati and the Zora's.
That INTRO though! The animation and voice acting and all the work that went into. SO. BEAUTIFUL. Or in Link's words: HARGH HYURGH HYEAAARH No seriously it was a great journey, thank you for playing through this whole mod, it was so much fun watching and discovering this new adventure, also your commentary and interaction with us throughout the game made it even more hilarious. Can't wait for the next adventure!
I never thought someone would make a video essay about this romhack, and I love it! It's definitely my favourite romhack. And you explained it well, it made what others were afraid to make. Everyone else was just going with the, save the princess and the world is fine story. While this story was mutch more interesting. The overworld and dungeons were top notch too.
All of your videos are amazing man, always in high quality, and i don't care about the graphics of a zelda oot mod, it's meant to look old lol keep being awesome!
I have to say, I was playing through this and Link just leaves through a loading zone and there's a text that says: "This is a good ending" and I immediately thought: "No, it's not." and proceeded to never play the mod again
My biggest issue with the ending is the motives of Nite and Kaebora Gabora seemed at odds with their actions. Both recruited Link to start the flow of time again. Isn't getting him killed detrimental to that, though? Nite never thought Link was up to the task, I guess, but it still doesn't make much sense. There are parts of the game that feel a little... unfinished or like they needed another going over. For example, you can find a very much alive man (presumably the brother of an earlier NPC) and King Zora in cages in the sewers/butcher's basement... but you can't even talk to them, let alone save them. I feel like some of the items were also redundant. For example, is it really necessary to include the Gordon Bracelet when you're just finding it in the first ten minutes and Link is an adult anyway? I did love the game play and all the little secrets. I also liked that there was a bit more of a focus on problem solving and platforming (although I can see how that could be a minus for others). Overall, I feel like it would have been fantastic if it just had a couple more rounds of editing.
This is incredible, I'm excited to see Zelda 64 modding grow, at least I hope it does... Thanks for your work, new subscriber and may the Goddess smile upon you and your channel!!! ✌️
As it turns out it is a midi cover of one of their songs. If you watch the series or play the game I think you will hear the part that was so hard to listen to. Luckily it was removed in the soundtrack. Welcome to the channel!

Nice video! For me it's the best Zelda mod we have. Other mods may be better in lots of aspect, but they're too short for me. Instead, I find master of time much more "complete", even with all the "ending problems"
Agreed, having a full scope Zelda mod was quite a treat! So many very promising Zelda mods have been canceled over the years. I'm very glad this one was finished.
