Cos funding is an issue. They could have expanded service 20 years ago but have wait too long and now construction is too expensive. $2 billion if they wanted to extend to Morgan State University. You add-on, rehabbing the existing stations -- which are slowly falling apart -- and needing upgrade technology, subway may never expand unless Baltimore struck oil somewhere.
The Metro is reliable but it's in a state of disorder alot. Both tracks often service both directions so you never are sure which side to board until the train stops. The subway signs indicating the station that you arrive in are like way too small and hard to find. MTA Metro is nothing like SEPTA's 4 track service and trendy subway poster ads.
