    Nice repot. Of course, as you know, many ordinary garden plants come in deep pots that can be reused, like clematis and roses, if people know a gardener. Looking great!

      Hi Rachel Some have asked me where to get them from..... told them ebay and look for Rose Pots.... or ask at the local garden centre.

    Wow your kovachii has grown quite a bit since your last repot! Lovely large roots! It's funny how you are wearing short sleeve in February!

    I was going to ask you about kovachii species and if they are any harder to grow than their hybrids. I think you explained that well. They are slow growers but you treat them just like your other phrags. You mentioned calcium carbonate. Do these get fish blood and Bone meal like your other phrags?
    Thanks for showing such an exemplary phrag, which very much reflects how great your whole orchid collection looks like.

      Good evening ResQuetzal. The kovachii are indeed very slow to begin with but are no more difficult than the other phrags once they get to a medium sized plant. It's not carbonate I use but nitrate every so often on the kovachiis just to try and give them that extra kick to start growth. They do get the FB/B like the others. Beautiful weather here at 17c today!!!!!

    Hi Ed, I recall this topic from earlier videos, so I took the measure to stock pile deep pots that I actually got for free. Along with quite a few very large pots 3-15 gallon size for my frankincense trees, and all for almost free I did trade a few orchids and other plants for them.

      Sounds like good trade-ins Todd.

    short sleeves, Ed? Been record setting heat here in south Florida. The nice British couple renting a house in my neighborhood was complaining it has gotten too hot for them. 🙂

      If only it could be like this for much longer periods. We had a record summer here last year.....it didn't do the plants much good.......warm leaves = less growth.

    Hi Eds
    I like yours videos and your collection of orchids. Especially your Phrag. Chovakii. Could you please sell one Phrag. Chovakii to me ?

    • @EdsOrchids
      @EdsOrchids  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Phragmipedium are the dearest of all these type of slipper orchid. Just google kovachii and you'll be surprised at the price of them. Sorry I'm unable to sell any of my three plants.

    isn,t the plant stalling because of this unneccesary repot?

    • @EdsOrchids
      @EdsOrchids  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at all Martin. I have repotted Paphs and Phrags when in flower with no effects on the plants.
