panel adhesive is great stuff and will last just as long as any welded in panels. you do the best you can with what you have and the tools and knowledge you have. Everything works. personally I would have saved that dog leg. cut out that section and either reshaped it and welded it back in or grafted a skin on that bent section. Replacing them is much harder and the new ones are not shaped very well.
Yep agreed, the new one was kind of a pain. In retrospect, it probably wasn't worth the effort. But then again, this is a learning process. I'm doing the cargo floor boards right now. Those are fun 😁
Yep, just a couple more parts, front suspension, rear suspension, body work, paint, new electrical, tranny, engine, interior, and assembly. Pretty much there already lol
How many years did they make the double door volkswagen in the united states? The first year in the last year? That volkswagen you're working on the pick up
Very interesting! Excited for episode 2!
I see this beauty daily, and love this unique VW.. Keep up the good work
Thanks Mark, the bus says the same thing about you 🤣

Nice double cab 👍. A lot less rust than most. Subscribed to see your progress. 🙂
Sorry, been a little slow on the video work. Just uploaded the latest vid.
Lots and lots of spot welding
Oh you know it. I have gone from being an absolutely crap welder to just a shit welder LOL
