Rodtang won with ease for me. In terms of the fight superlek won (was a clear but close win) but the 5 pounds over weight is unforgettable imo. Rodtang still has his belts, respect and the largest fan base in muay Thai.

I personally am unsure if Round 2 was 10-8 as I didnt get a great view of the shot, nor a proper replay, but even if it was, that would make this a draw in my mind….

The judges followed the rules. Doesn’t have to mean people agree with who “won” the fight, but based purely on the rule set, the judges were correct.

In my eyes, he won rounds 1 and 3. Losing the 2 round makes it a tie in my book - it’s one thing to not agree but unanimous decision? That’s code for a clearly one sided fight.

It's not about damage. In the traditional Muay Thay Rule Set kicking does count more then punches and elbows. Rodtang was very close to knock him out but Superlek was technically better

Muay Thai doesn’t allow draws, and in a tiebreaker it goes to the knockdown. It’s likely Rodtang was given 1 and 3, but the KD gives it to Superlek. Under the rules it’s not a robbery, this should’ve been 5 rounds.

Clinching is a fundamental in muay thai though? Clearly you havent trained nor seen muay thai but besides, Yes I do agree Rodtang shouldve won but Ive also noticed that superlek also scored clean elbows and knees which is a big score in a MT match

@@alexgarcia7097 The Muay Thai scoring system makes it almost impossible to win in a fight if you get dropped. That is why Superlek went more towards defence trying to block Rodtang through clinching and Rodtang had to chase the last round. Rodtang knew he needed a knockdown on his own and he didn't get it. That's why he clearly knew he lost. Great fight

I am bias as hell wanted superlek to win but i didn't see it, rodtang won, and if it was 5 rounds he may have got a finish
I wouldn’t have counted the knockdown in the second round, Rodtang got straight back up and showed no signs of being knocked at all. He won the 1st and 3rd, no idea how a unanimous win was given to superlek. Maybe it was something to do with the 2 British judges on the panel being salty about Rodtang destroying Haggerty 3 times.

Superlek was merely in survival mode. Tying up instead of engaging. This fight is the definition of a robbery. Rodtang is the true winner. These judges made some boneheaded decisions.

He didn't lose the belt. The fight was catchweight because Superlek missed weight.
They’re competitors so they went for it when not every fighter is game when their opponent misses weight - shout to Rodtang for give zero F’s in the regard.
The problem with Rodtang is this marred his unblemished record in One. I think they might’ve actually awaken the beast from within because I don’t see him taking this well. He may go on a tear, the likes of which we’ve never seen.

I didn't know One Championship prefer to have a hugging muay thai fighter. Obviously Superlek love to hugged Rodtang a lots and making it boring to watch. This was a main event fight. Go all out and less clinched. In a muay thai fight, we want to watch them traded punches but im dissappointing tonight. A big weight missed by Superlek was also a let down.

@@rekanpayne6606 not disagreeing i could see rodtang winning this fight but it wasnt a robbery. rodtang won the 1st, superlek the 2nd and in the third superlek probably took that one cause he was stopping rodtangs rhythm with forward pressure, solid clinching, and counters. rodtang had his moments in the 3rd aswell but it looked like he was doing what he could in tbat 3rd instead of being the forward aggressor like he usually is
