I 1st found them right before the war. Even at the time their talent was obvious. Since they left the Ukraine for Germany their writing, musicianship, recording, everything has just gotten better and better. This band should have at least 10 and probably 100 times more followers than they do now.
The crazy thing about this is that Maria, the singer, is a piano player that was brought into the band about 2 years to play rhythm guitar. As far as I can tell she had no vocal or guitar experience. As she was the only one fluent in English at the time she took on the role of lyricist and translated a few of there Ukrainian songs and wrote the new ones. when the lead singer left the band she took on that role also and for a while when Anya on lead was absent she also played lead along with rhythm and vocals. This kid has unmeasurable talent, They all do. The other crazy thing is that all they do is totally home made, it has to be. there is no record label or cooperate sponsor. Just enough from patreon and fundraisers to keep them afloat for now . I am an old man and have rarely seen such dedication to music as i see here. Point in case Katya on drums started when she was only 2, but thats a whole other story
What a beautiful song. Been following this band for two years. Love love this band. They have a Wikipedia page. Info is somewhat what up to date except the members. The band started in 2019 in Ukraine. Had some turnover with members early on. When the conflict begin. The band (family's) fled to Germany. They reunited in Essen, Germany. Set up a studio. Since some members left when their family went back to Ukraine. The only founder & original member left is the drummer. The keyboard player from the *"For Us... For Me..."* was the latest member to leave (went back to Ukraine). She was a n original member. Leaving the drummer as the last original member. The new keyboard player Anna (she played on *"Feels"* & *"I stare at you"* videos) speaks fluent English. Which helps the band since only the lead singer spoke English but not fluently. I loved the old members but the new members makes this band better. The Sixsters plays original material. They do play covers but only at rehearsals. @@SpaceNudger Just to correct, Anna is the lead guitarist, Sofia is the new keyboard player. Kate (drums) started the band in 2018. Maria (vocals and rhythm guitar) joined the band at the start of 2021, there was another girl Kira lead singer at that time. Maria was a pianist and learned to play guitar especially to join the band. Anna (lead guitar) joined mid 2021. These three are the remaining members from the time in Ukraine. 4 months after the invasion In 2022 five of the band members met in Germany after fleeing Ukraine, only Kira the vocalist was not there. They wrote and recorded the song Happiness. After this, the bass player, another Kira, returned to Ukraine with her family, so Polina (bass) joined. Kira is likely to return as rhythm guitar, when she can. In September, Maya, the original keyboard player returned to Ukraine with her family and Sofia replaced her. Both Polina and Sofia are Ukrainian refugees from areas which are now behind enemy lines. Kate was born in Crimea, so her family has fled the Russians twice.
I started listening to new music again after years and discovered The Warning, and their fans brought up The Sixsters, so this is the second song of theirs I've heard. It's so beautiful, the melody and composition is so honest and refreshing and it brought tears to my eyes. Count me a new fan! I am looking forward to learning more about this band!
They refer to themselves as a Punk band, but their music is very varied. The list Kevin put up is a good collection of their songs, I'd add Seem to Dance to see them having absolute fun. Their live 2021 video is well worth a look from when they had 6 members before the invasion. Someone listed all the songs with links to each in the comments, unfortunately no-one pinned that comment, its quite a way down.
Nice reaction. Thank you. This was their latest single from their latest album "To be continued..." They are so so talented and do everything themselves. There is quite a back catalogue of material. Please check it out.
The Sixster are amazing, I found them about 4 years ago and they have a lot of fantastic songs. 🥰

Wait to people start to catch on ... this band will be Huge.
Yup they’re not just some girls who started a funny Little Rock band they are real musicians. And Katya’s actually a prodigy drummer.
Too much talent! Caught me by surprise!🎸🤘
