    Awesome Video Bud, These new headlights are looking snazzy🔥. Since you had the perfect bulbs for your previous headlights, I'm looking to upgrade my existing bulbs. Would you consider selling your old bulbs to me? Since they are gonna be, of no use to you?🤞

      I'm afraid not. I'm keeping my old lights just in case these fail. Not sure if they're reliable so time will tell. I bought all my bulbs on takealot so you can find the ideal bulbs there. They aren't expensive. 😊

    Can I see how you were able to connect your new switch with the headlight levelling?

    Hi! Just by placing an LED bulb instead of the halogen, I had to reset the computer to get the lights back and now the BCM is blocked. Can't imagine how you changed the whole light without having issues with the BCM?

      That's odd. I had led bulbs in my OEM headlights and didn't have any issues. No errors or anything. Even swapping the tail lights out didn't do anything. It's very odd that your BCM has reacted this way. Before doing this I did a great deal of research and all people who changed to LED headlights did straight swaps without issues. Something else is going on with your car.

    I noticed you had led bulbs in your old lights? I can’t seem to find any that fit?

      If you're referring to the high beams, yes, not just any bulb will fit in there. You have to get an LED bulb that is exactly that same size as the original. If I recall, the high beams were H15 and the low beams H11. I used standard canbus H15 in the low beam projectors with little fans on the back. The H15 were tricky as there is no space for a fan at the back. I used ones that simply just have the plug at the back like the halogen bulbs. I would recommend trying these out www.wabi.co.za/products/osram-h15-easy-ledriving-headlights-64176dwesy?srsltid=AfmBOooqPJ2iTsDkiBlKWcdlwKJPnsl9AK4wqKRDkuEWyfoqUGAGcZUd

    Just a question, did that affect any warranty through the deallership would that interfere anything covered

    • @carfanfan
      @carfanfan  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, because these headlights are plug and play. No cutting of wires or anything, so warranty is still in tact. If you cut a wire anywhere on the vehicle, only the warranty on electrical is affected. But not in this case.

      No worries, I tried to find out what the information was and they weren't helpful, but thank you for that and excellent job on the headlights 👍👍👍

    Do you still have the CX5?

      I traded it for my 2016 Jaguar XF

    I'm confused. You replaced HID with LED? I didn't think that was plug and play. I've been wanting to do that to my XJ but every auto electrician I've spoken to said it be a very complicated job, reprogramming the control modules. Jaguar absolutely don't endorse the upgrade. How did you get around that?

    • @carfanfan
      @carfanfan  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My old headlights had LED bulbsbin them. They weren't HID. But if your Jag has xenon headlights it is indeed possible to change them to LED andbits not a big job. The only part that is big about it is that the bumper must come off. If memory serves me the XJ has D1 xenon bulbs, but check up on that. All you need to do is buy the equivalent LED bulb and it will come with its own converter so it won't need to use the ballast for your HID bulbs. I wanted to do that upgrade to my XFR but never got round to it.

      @CarFan Hilton thanks, I definitely have HID bulbs in my XJ. I want the J blade LEDs but it's so much hassle and too much can go wrong.
