I must say the fish and chips looked good. The menu there looks like what you would get at a pub/restaurant, but not a regular fish and chip shop. Usually the menu is of course fish and chips, fish cakes ( 90%mashed potato and 10% fish, the way my husband likes it! lol! ), pickled eggs, battered sausage, savoy sausage ( weird looking hot dog that’s a red/ pink colour )cheesy chips, hamburgers, battered burgers and malt vinegar and salt that you can sprinkle on your fish and chips. Oh and I almost forgot mushy peas, which doesn’t look very appealing ( use your imagination!). It took me 31 years to finally try them, and the restaurant loaded them with mint leaves! Traditional fish and chips is made from cod, but you can haddock as well. As for traditional looking pubs, no it doesn’t look like a pub, for one thing you don’t see a British flag in there, unless of a major advent. The Rose and Crown looks like more a traditional pub. Must say though, the fish looked delicious! You’re right the batter makes all the difference, nice and light, not too thick. Personally I like the fish when it’s thick and not a fishy taste. Also, my main beef is when it’s greasy, which I’ve had my fair share of lately. Very off putting!
@@donnaplumridge9769 I will say this fish would be perfect for you. Not to fishy, nice and thick with a light batter. Hopefully we get over there next year and explore all the food. Hope you have a fantastic week

My other comment got deleted for some reason…. The Clermont Fish House is not as close to Disney but it IS a Brit-owned local fish & chips restaurant in Clermont (open Wednesday through Saturday).
