This was the exact video I was needing! I find it easy to fill in my girl’s box spaces with hair accessories etc. but I was struggling to come up with ideas for my boy box. Thank u for making this video!
Love your videos. I also love putting hot wheel cars in my boxes as little gems. The Lord lead me to a small local thrift store in my town that sells BRAND NEW hot wheel cars for 3/$1. I also like to put bounce balls as little gems as well as bandannas. I want to get the cats cradles now!
I love hearing from you! I’m still finding deals at thrift stores too. That’s an amazing find for Hot Wheels! I’m glad to know you’re packing shoeboxes still. May the Lord continue to provide for us as we make Gospel opportunities for the children! ❤️
Great ideas! I like the shuttlecock idea. You can put in a fidget spinner or a take-me-apart puzzle (like the metal ones or the wooden ones). I also like those snap, fidgit click toys (it's like a little twist puzzle). You could include those little plastic parachute men. Pop bracelets could work, too.
My little gems include the small bouncy balls from the supermarket party section , the small slider type puzzles, also folding flying discs, whistle on a lanyard, hair accessories or jewellery, make a face sticker sheets and compact mirrors.
There are even smaller playing cards sold at Amazon and Oriental Trading Company, and Dollar Tree has smaller sized Uno card games. Dollar Tree also has checkers, tic tac toe, and chess in metal tins and you can fit a game of DT dominoes into the tins as well.
Great ideas. I'm working on making tic tac toe kits in small drawstring bags and some friendship bracelet kits with Michelle's instructions included for each.
Tammy, they aren’t available now, but check back on the Best Deals page on www.blessingsinashoebox.com Michelle loves those car sharpeners and will post them as soon as they’re available. I love that you are already preparing for the upcoming season! ❤️
Do you know if these boxes go to the US or are they only overseas because there are some very poor places cause of floods from tornadoes and hurricanes and tropical storms in the US where parents can't get to work etc it's probably coming up again. It's hard for them to afford it and I think that we could use these boxes also. I asked this co they said they help us in national disaster time. but those people should ask local churches, police, or fire dept if they need Christmas gifts underwear socks.
Shoeboxes are mostly sent overseas. There has been some that have gone to Native American children who live on reservations in the past. However, the parent ministry, Samaritan's Purse, goes to US natural disasters with help and gifts for children. I know there were gifts given to children that were homeless due to the Kentucky tornado disaster (just before Christmas) when nearly the whole town was flattened. Samaritan's Purse is the parent organization of Operation Christmas Child. They always respond to disasters with medical aid, rebuilding aid, and food, etc. They go to war torn areas and are very active in Ukraine providing stoves, food, medical help, and despite the war, they are doing the Greatest Journey with 120,000 children in Ukraine this year. It's amazing to be a part of this ministry!

It's amazing how the boxes settle allowing for more little gems to go in.
I love filling the empty spaces on top with dinosaur small figures.
Perfect timing! I’m just filling some shoebox now and needed that idea! 🦖🦕🦖

Adding extra toys and helpful items in the tiny little spaces is a fun part of packing!
Yes! It’s so rewarding to get a few more items in. 😄
