be extremely careful with this fan without protection. i own 2 of this and my finger accidentally touch the blade as it was spinning and it slit my finger like a pudding, blood was flowing like water. lesson learnt painfully.
Got two of these, one had rusted stator and bearings and the other one was good but required some oil for the bearings. Changed the bearings on the first. Both of them are the 3A variant. Actually Nidec rate them at 3A avg current and 6A max, given they go upto 8k and 7.5k rpm on average. With this rotor design and motor with 693zz bearings it positions itself in a unique place where it gives extreme performance when required and quite low noise under 2k with less vibrations than its other counterpart. Delta Qfr1212uhe (this fan has least vibration and excellent noise profile) comes close to this but v12e12 just bulldozes it on full tilt
I can confirm they use 693ZZ, the unit I have makes a distinct squeal noise when at low speeds so I thought replacing them would fix it but that didn't help but I have the older version of this fan G1238C12B8ZP@@potassiumchloride6968
@kreimer1417 Thanks for the information bud! Recently I bought second hand the Nidec fan for my PC. It's rated 1.65A and 1.85A. Good things the bearings can be replaced than buy another fan.

A fan guard would be a good idea. Me running without out is definitely pretty dangerous

Do they have the pwm clicking issue do they have that grinding noise at low rpm?

@@potassiumchloride6968 yes I had changed them with 693zz and closed it with a 3mm e-circlip as I had broken the holder while removing it.

Miner fans are generally like that. If you don't care about noise, they're good value
just set on low voltage for quiteer operation
