When interest rates are low and inflation begins to rise over time, REITs are ideal, however, as interest rates go up then people pull back on spending and growth slows down.. however, working within the industry in Manhattan Real Estate is an asset that simply performs well and returns well. We may see fluctuations in terms of REIT stock share prices, but you should not buy based off of stock share prices. An investor should invest into a healthy, growing company.. My REITs of choice: Realty Income (DOMINANT DIVIDEND PLAYER), STAG (up and coming given their foothold with e-commerce) and last, but not least STOR which is even in Buffett's portfolio..
Thanks for the interesting video. [11:00] -> Isn't 1976 - 1981 the period of stagflation in US, where the interest rate is high but the economy is not doing well. So I would assume the REITS can't pass the rising cost down. I'm surprised that REITS can still do well :)
Can you do a video on how Residential Mortgage Back Securities (RMBS) Reits work? For example Armour Residential Reit is an example. They are confusing and difficult to understand so would welcome a video on this👍👍
