Paul Washer preaches the TRUTH. No sugarcoating. He was NOT exaggerating about men’s wickedness, recreational dating danger, honoring spouses at all. It sounds shocking to us only because our society is very dark. Love this man’s preaching.
So many people in this comment section have lost their way. Christianity is not about you, it's not supposed to make sense to you because you're not GOD. His way will never be understood, the only we know/need to know is love God, and love others. Paul Washer is spot on, he hears God speaking and that scares people. Bless you brother Paul.

Of course we understand that there are mysteries in the Biblical text. But, the LORD has given us His word to learn from and to live by as a blueprint, we humbly and obediently apply--as we are humanly able--and as we sanctify toward Christ's image.
We are mistaken to cherry-pick. We believe the entire Bibe and pay attention to Christ's commands specifically.
When we accept the blood-bought propitiation of Jesus, the Holy Soirit takes up indwelling residence, as the Bible (the NT) reports. One of the Spirit of God's tasks is to provide Scriptural discernment. The Helper helps us to think like Jesus.
Even in situations of questioning, He is the Reminder--as with the Apostles of Jesus--Who brings back into mind the teachings of Christ, and unchanging truths of the Biblical text.

I am totally different and this man makes more sense then anyone I have ever discerned. I never loved a man before i became saved and loved Jesus and then Paul Washer became my hero at 45. I never had a hero. I have been to prison and shot heroin. Now I am clean going on over a year. Read my bible everyday for a year and I am not in control of any of it

Why are people so upset because he is speaking the truth? The Bible says be conformed not of the world!! He's right you can serve sin and God it's like oil and water it don't mix! Leave Paul alone he's only doing what he supposed to do.

Yes, this is truly a man of God, a great teacher who is teaching truth no matter the cost, but to the Glory of God, Jesus Christ. Yes, the Lord has answered prayers of hearts that are hungry and seeking whole truth and are not ashamed to repent and are not so proud that they cannot yield themselves to God. Whole truth finally be taught. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you for this and all of Pastor Paul Washer's sermons
Wish the local preacher's preached the Bible and taught like Brother Paul Washer. I understood more in the first week of listening than my entire life in local evangelical church.
Exactly, I never truly believed who God is or understood the Gospel up untill Paul Washer taught me.
I thank God that His love is so wonderful for all these preacher like brother Paul to remind us of His love . I'm praying for them.
All I could think of is, Praise the Lord for His Rich and Tender Mercies unto to us. Now I clearly understand. Thank the Lord that He love us enough to send a convicting word, that would cause the hearer to fully and introspectively examine ourselves. I love it.
What did we all do? We disobeyed the Almighty and Holy God! Every sin, no matter how small it seems, is a disobedience to God, and deserves condemnation. "For the wages of sin is death" (romans 6:23) every sin deserves punishment of death, even if it isn't murder or destruction, sin is sin.
That is why we need a mediator, an intercessor, a savior, Jesus, to make us right with God.
Help me Lord to receive your word the way you meant for us to receive it help me Lord Jesus 🙏

He is only a man. He wouldn't want you to glorify him in this manner. The glory is God's alone and he would say he failed if he thought that after listening to his sermons you want to know him instead of God.

Excellent word, but if I may add something. You can get a zeal for God by truly understanding the magnitude of Christ but you can only truly understand Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, which means you can only maintain that zeal needed to “present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice” through the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s really important to remember that. He (Paul Washer) eluded to that a bit but I think it’s really important to emphasize that because Paul Washer is such a great teacher and preacher that you can easily walk away from one of his sermons on fire for God but without daily seeking to die to self, and truly seek to walk in the Spirit every hour of every day (Gal. 5:16-18), even the greatest zeal birthed in your own passion and/or discipline will lose steam no matter how many truths you agree with, because our strength and will are limited, while the power of the Holy Spirit is limitless. Again, I think he did elude to this a bit, I just really think we need to fully get a hold of the importance of the Holy Spirit in our every day lives. Still, great word here by Paul, very powerful.
Jesus loves you and died so you can have eternal life. Repent and turn to Him because He is coming soon! He loves you!

OF COURSE God is meant to be understood! (As the passages below from John 14 & 16 show, Jesus said the Holy Spirit will "teach us ALL things" and "guide us into ALL TRUTH".
He's not some inscrutable and unknowable pagan deity. He's the personal, relational God who created us and a) gave us His Son so we know what His character is: Hebrews 1:1-2 etc b) gave us the Bible: if you read and study (i.e read carefully and reflect upon) the Bible then yep, you will know about God c) if the Holy Spirit is indwelling - which Jesus promises in John 14:16-17 - then yes, you will know Him intimately.
[And if the Holy Spirit is not indwelling then you don't belong to God and are reprobate: Romans 8:9, 2 Corinthians 13:5].
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, **he shall teach you all things**, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you" (John 14:26)
"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, **he will guide you into all truth**: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come" (John 16:13)
"But this spoke he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified" (John 7:39)
So how would you understand God? Lol

Paul has said many times that one is not saved by their works. But evidence of salvation is regeneration. Do you think that you can be saved and go living the same life for the same things?

How does a man do this, my entire life will go to this, and I will never know the truth fully for how complex it is. I need a true teacher who can teach of the word of God, hours upon hours every day till I know the word. I am of no use to God as I am, I am but a dull ember of zeal to God, who knows no words and has a poor prayer life. How can I be saved, I am completely unaware of how to act in the world. I need the saving grace of God, I know that God died for my sins, I know that he sacrificed his son for my sins. Is that enough to save me? I will work to know more of God forever, and love him, but am I saved by this knowledge?

Why are you upset? Just trying to lift Christ up in everything. Paul Washer is great in his preaching. Even Washer himself speaks that apart from the grace of God He is nothing.

Genalyn Gipulan Don't feel bad because of this, none of us are perfect but through your situation God will perfect his good love in your life. Worship is not done only in buildings, worshiping God is like breathing air.
Your weakness should drive you on your knees to seek God. The Philippines is very open to religion, don't hesitate to do the right thing.
Sorry to hear about your situation, i cant imagine how difficult it is to live there as christians.

Life is full of ups and downs. And God is at work during both the ups and downs. When trials come your way, don't look out for the way out or way around what God wants you to walk right through. He wants you to face your trials, mot run from them.

Oh that this message were the sole sermon to the followers of Christian-inanity. Having been inoculated against the true Gospel by religion manufactured in church buildings (using the lies of satans as their basic ingredient) and having become allergic to the Holy Spirit through this same inoculation, the false brethren stumble over (are offended by) hard teachings and attack on a personal basis the men who convey them, proving that they are disciples of the devil, for he always points to personalities in order to change the subject. But God and His sons are not respecters (observers) of persons.
Men who do not know Jesus will not encourage you to know Him. Those who do know Jesus will tell you that this is The ONE THING NECESSARY.
@conian7 I never implied any ambiguity with the scripture. Where does it say you can't lose salvation. I actually agree that we are perfected in our spiritual nature immediately at the time of initial conversion. now, what we have dwelling inside us, as a matter of life and potential, only makes our judgment more severe if we neglect to allow this salvation to flow out into our souls, conforming us to His image in real living. We are judged by our works and condition of our souls.

@nld1960 God NEVER says that there is a point that nothing YOU do can take you out of His family. You can certainly"draw back into perdition and have your name blotted out of the book of life"Rev3:5. If your name was never at one point in the book of life, how can it be blotted out? He is wavering between two opinions. I know he TRIES to preach against cheap grace but he in the final analysis still promotes it. This is what seminaries do to impressionable minds, messes them up for life!

@conian7 If we don't lay hold on that sacrifice through obeying the truth and begin to strive for that sanctification, the sacrifice does us know good at all. "all those who are being sanctified" is the key. these are they who have submitted to the disciplines of Christ.don't try to base a theology on a verse that you know can be taken several ways. where do you have evidence that this scripture teaches that once you are saved, you are always saved?

@nld1960 The thief on the cross repented from his heart of his mocking and recognized Jesus as righteous and Lord and asked for mercy upon his unworthy soul. If he had lived on after that, he would have had incumbent upon him to live out that confession and 'bring forth fruit worthy of repentance"(Luke3:8-14). I am not a adherer to denominational,divisive, stifling baggage. Even if the Lord would lead me to a church with such a serious flaw, I would never call myself anything but a Christian.
Paul Washer scares me to death. Everytime I listen to him I fear I am going straight to hell.
And every time u ignore that fear you are making sure you get to hell, RUN TO CHRIST.

The sweet talking preacher will promonade you to hell by telling your what you want to hear. Then Paul Washer comes along and bullies and rebukes you onto the narrow path to heaven.
I think I know which i prefer, even if I do have bruised ears afterwards.

Yea, it's like listening to Piper. Someone can dream up a topic or point, then find scripture they think backs it up - but what they have to say is truly "God-breathed" & ALWAYS rooted in the cross. Scripture just pours out of their sermons & half the time they don't even site the verses.
I know another minister that preaches the same truth as Paul Washer. But he is. Ill. I am also afraid for my church family. I am afraid they will listen to the next preacher without question when Duane goes to heaven. I feel it's good they understand you need to live the word but they're not in the word accept at church. They claim that's all they have time.

My God does not advocate that behavior, and he did not create sin.
Look at this way: God is light, sin is darkness. Did the light create darkness? no. Darkness is the absence of light; sin occurs when there is an absence of God in our life.
A question: why are you watching a Christian preaching if all your doing is speaking against it ?

The carnal heart is very crafty in trying to dismiss truths that challenge it to transform it's worldview. Be strong. Your label used to dismiss an unsettling truth is "hatred and venom".
