Not true. You already know you are born again. When he said "Examine yourselves as to whether you're in the faith" Paul the apostle was speaking to those in Corinth who claimed to be Christians but were still continuing in a lifestyle of fornication and promiscuity. Those who have the Holy Spirit can't remain in sin. You will know this yourself. It's impossible for us. Yes we make mistakes and sin but we always repent. That is because the Holy Spirit lives in us. He doesn't leave. Those who continue to live in obviously sinful lifestyles have never known salvation.

I have been baptized twice since I was a child. I am 36 years old, but my true conversion did not happen until September 2019, when the lord transformed my mind and healed me from severe depression. It was not until lockdown where I FULLY committed to read my Bible though. I was reading it, but not with urgency. You know what is sad is that Western Churchs don't express how important the Bible is to our conversion, so I urge anyone reading this who feels they have not had a true conversion PICK UP YOUR BIBLE AND NEVER PUT IT DOWN! Hi, there. My daughter got through severe depression..in the midst, I truly accepted Jesus as my savior. Miraculously, my daughter also is drawing near to God since she got into a college. I can definitely see myself growing in Christ. Before I had my encounter with Christ, I was a typical young adult. I enjoyed playing video games, watching new movies and listening to music for hours on end. When I became a Christian a lot of these things decreased. Now most of my spare time is spent watching sermons on TH-cam, praying or reading the Bible on my iPad. I have gained at least one godly friend and while I still listen to music or play some video games, it is rare to see me doing these things for more than an hour. I have seen a dramatic increase in knowledge and wisdom. I am concerned about current events because of Revelation. I am seeking a close relationship with Christ as if He was as my father or brother. I can definitely see most of these characteristics of my life.

I did not realize it when I was younger, but he came to my church/school to preach. He called us older children out because we took advantage of our privilege to worship for granted and treated it as something trivial. I won't speak for anyone but myself but he was correct. I hated him for making me feel less Christian, because I thought well of myself...prideful. I am guilty of mocking this person, and i realize now after watching this that I was/am truly a shameful creature.

It is good when God reveals our condition to us so that we can confess to Him, so just confess and repent, ask for and receive His forgiveness, get up, and get on with the good fight, ask God to change your heart, and the also forgive yourself. We all struggle with sin, but we encourage each other to get up and move forward on the road of sanctification. Blessings
You're not a shameful creature! You can't be made to feel less Christian. You either are Christian or you aren't. No one is shamed into the kingdom of God. The gospel is not a message of condemnation but one of love and hope. We stand before God equally sinful and can't add one thing to what Christ has done on the cross. For God so loved the world. He did not come to condemn the world but in love to save us and once saved we are all being sanctified, John 3:16, 17. Come to our loving Father without shame and even with boldness because of Christ.
If you weren't a true believer, you would not of been convicted of your shame. I go through that from time to time. It's a normal thing for the Christian. We repent( tell the Lord how sorry we are, ask for forgiveness, n press on) Your a human being . Not a creature. God knows our hearts n yet he still loves us. Do Paul Washer teach Acts 2:38? Do he believe one must be born again after repenting thru baptism according to the word of God and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Spirit? Not true. You already know you are born again. When he said "Examine yourselves as to whether you're in the faith" Paul the apostle was speaking to those in Corinth who claimed to be Christians but were still continuing in a lifestyle of fornication and promiscuity. Those who have the Holy Spirit can't remain in sin. You will know this yourself. It's impossible for us. Yes we make mistakes and sin but we always repent. That is because the Holy Spirit lives in us. He doesn't leave. Those who continue to live in obviously sinful lifestyles have never known salvation.

I have been baptized twice since I was a child. I am 36 years old, but my true conversion did not happen until September 2019, when the lord transformed my mind and healed me from severe depression. It was not until lockdown where I FULLY committed to read my Bible though. I was reading it, but not with urgency. You know what is sad is that Western Churchs don't express how important the Bible is to our conversion, so I urge anyone reading this who feels they have not had a true conversion PICK UP YOUR BIBLE AND NEVER PUT IT DOWN! Hi, there. My daughter got through severe depression..in the midst, I truly accepted Jesus as my savior. Miraculously, my daughter also is drawing near to God since she got into a college. It was really a miracle!! I deep dive into the Bible during this Covid months. It feels like reading an epic drama ,which is different from when I used to read out of curiosity... I am glad you got out of depression. I know how it is through my daughter.

Exactly,I been through severe panic attack episodes and was carried to a CB therapist to counsil me..but I came out sharing salvation to him..I remember the way he was shocked..I dropped off medicines prescribed and is healed now..but like u said I am not keen Bible reader..am trying but not happening ..any tips to throw at me?

But like most of us, I kept returning to church Sunday after next hoping something would change. If I sang more, prayed harder, got more involved, etc, ...maybe something would give. But nothing ever did. I must have walked a thousand isles. It had gotten to a point where a friend at the time said, “just try and sing". He meant well, but it was always disingenuous so I never did. I can definitely see myself growing in Christ. Before I had my encounter with Christ, I was a typical young adult. I enjoyed playing video games, watching new movies and listening to music for hours on end. When I became a Christian a lot of these things decreased. Now most of my spare time is spent watching sermons on TH-cam, praying or reading the Bible on my iPad. I have gained at least one godly friend and while I still listen to music or play some video games, it is rare to see me doing these things for more than an hour.
I have seen a dramatic increase in knowledge and wisdom. I am concerned about current events because of Revelation. I am seeking a close relationship with Christ as if He was as my father or brother. I can definitely see most of these characteristics of my life.
Beware of Paul Washer. He will have you looking at your own works to get assurance. Your eyes must always be on Jesus only and what Jesus did for you. Paul Washer doesn't understand that salvation is a gift from God.

I did not realize it when I was younger, but he came to my church/school to preach. He called us older children out because we took advantage of our privilege to worship for granted and treated it as something trivial. I won't speak for anyone but myself but he was correct. I hated him for making me feel less Christian, because I thought well of myself...prideful. I am guilty of mocking this person, and i realize now after watching this that I was/am truly a shameful creature.

It is good when God reveals our condition to us so that we can confess to Him, so just confess and repent, ask for and receive His forgiveness, get up, and get on with the good fight, ask God to change your heart, and the also forgive yourself. We all struggle with sin, but we encourage each other to get up and move forward on the road of sanctification. Blessings

You're not a shameful creature! You can't be made to feel less Christian. You either are Christian or you aren't. No one is shamed into the kingdom of God. The gospel is not a message of condemnation but one of love and hope. We stand before God equally sinful and can't add one thing to what Christ has done on the cross. For God so loved the world. He did not come to condemn the world but in love to save us and once saved we are all being sanctified, John 3:16, 17. Come to our loving Father without shame and even with boldness because of Christ.
If you weren't a true believer, you would not of been convicted of your shame. I go through that from time to time. It's a normal thing for the Christian. We repent( tell the Lord how sorry we are, ask for forgiveness, n press on) Your a human being . Not a creature. God knows our hearts n yet he still loves us. Because we've accepted his free gift of salvation through his son, Jesus our Saviour. Praise his holy name. Our God lives!!
