Leon’s kid is OG’s agent. I’m sure they had a deal worked prior to the trade. I don’t foresee anything more than $32m a year over 4 yrs.

Considering that the GM’s son is the players agent- it seems highly likely that an agreement was already in place before they made the trade… honestly from the Knicks perspective, when the time comes, they can say “ we didn’t get what was agreed-upon because your client was injured most of the time”…
if thats the price there wanna be some conditions eg games played and performance incentives we gave up 2 good pieces for him so 160 over 4 years i dunno as long as he doesn't end up on the heat but remember Leon's son is his manager so im sure something can be worked out
As a Raptors fan, we always hoped he would be healthy. But every year he missed games. Great player but always hurt. His agent was asking Raps ownership for $40 mill a year. No way Toronto wanted to do that. If he resigns with NY just how long will fans put up with a player always missing games?
Given injury history I'll give 28.5 to 31 mill max

40 million would be ridiculous, Paul George will be out there turning down 48m - Randle and Brunson are getting 25 . I think he just gets a long contract , like 5 yr 140 fully guaranteed ish. At 40m you could prolly do Paul George at 3 yrs 120 - and I’d rather that.
Why pay Paul George who is in his Mid 30's that much? He has passed the Knicks timeline.

OG is great defensively and does enough of the other stuff but he’s definitely injury prone. He’s yet to play a full season or close to it.
They did say he would come at a discount. 22-26 a year I don’t think is one. I think that’s more fair. And sign Isiah for 15 a year.
