Thank you and that would be the logical answer if only it wasn’t the busy strip on there one way system around the park. I would have blocked the road and not much room to turn etc. Happy Travels 😊
Hi and thank you, The walk was big and so was the steps 🤣 but wwell worth it, glad we was able to show you the fort because we can totally understand not everyone can get there. Happy Travels
Great vlog, wasnt keen on the site you were at this time we always go hardstanding but we have a caravan, at my age we need to be closer to the toilets too like you said they could put some mobile loos on there for the few weeks the field is used, hooe your next site is an improvement x 😁
Hi guys, that camping shop in Brean is AWSOME, they sell everything you would/could need. We stayed just around the corner from there. Beach is not quite a Cornwall beach though, plus be careful if you walk to the edge of the sea there are signs saying beware sinking sand.
We live not far from Burnham on sea, we take our dogs for a walk there they love it usually out of season. The tide is the 2nd highest tidal range in the world. Did you see the listed lighthouse on legs on Burnham beach? It makes an appearance on the title sequence of Escape to the Country.
Hi, it's a great walk there and thanks for the information. We didn’t see the listed lighthouse but we will definitely check it out next time we visit 😊 Happy Travels 😊
We used e-bikes in Uk. As scooters aren’t legal. However scooters all day in Europe… if you go back - do the rally at Warren farm with Cov Da. Much nicer site and a damn site cheaper
I live in Burnham, all the local sites are expensive, I feel for you £28 for a field is a rip off. There is a great site at Uphill marina. And the CMC site in Hurn lane is very good. Think all the other campsites nearer the Down are poor, fields only, poor facilities, very exposed to the wind and rain, I wouldn’t recommend any of them. The holiday parks are all really expensive ! Well done on Brean Down lovely up there, and walking to uphill ! Cafe 33 on the path is really good 👍 Hope you come down again sometime and you get a better deal, better facilities etc. IanB campervan owner
Hi Ian and thank you, we have stayed at Uphill before on a past vlog and that was amazing. Totally different from this experience however saying that you live and learn with each site you visit. You live in an amazing area with outstanding walks. We will definitely be back probably next year. Happy Travels 😊
You asked in your vlog what is the better option ebike or scooter . I have an E bike and a scooter electric ? There are great things that are good about either option my personal choice would be an E bike the main reason for my choice is an E bike is a lot safer ie stability. Also you get to go a lot more miles on a bike .
Flipping ek, fair play i was tired watching you walk those steps, £28 a night wow that's not great for a field, i don't mind paying for a camp site (not that one) definitely love my e- bike but saying that you wouldn't have got up that hill if you'd had bikes with you (or scooters) i don't think they're going to legalise them any time soon. Be good to see what you decide. Great video both x
Hi and thank you, It was a big walk but worth it 😊 Yeah £28 wasn’t the best for what it was and there is lot's of sites in the area so next time i'll do my research on what site i pick 🤣 Your right as the bikes wouldn’t have been much help up the steps 🤦♂️🤣 Happy Travels
I can't see anything attractive about that site at all. £28 a night, on grass and without electric is a complete an utter ripoff. I would have asked for my money back and gone elsewhere. Anyway, All the best from us here in Southern France and Safe travels.
This is why we are torn between the two as i fill bikes are better however a scooter will be much more manageable to carry around. Thank you for your comment and Happy Travels 😊
@@lifes4touring i have regretted carting around the country bikes…and if you have to fit them on an outside carrier the weathering makes your pride and joy junk in no time at all..or storing them outside on the campsite…its a nightmare unless you have a full time garage onboard which very few people do..a folding scooter is the best solution…
Totally agree, a bike rack isn’t something i want to add to the motorhome so it will need to be something that fits in the garage. Luckily we have a good size garage but still it will need to fold away to give room for other items. 😊
@@lifes4touring a swifty zero is best if you can fit it in your garage…but a swifty one is a good alternative if you have to resort to folding because of garage room..the brakes are better on the zero..and its faster than the swifty air… Jason and Camilla have all the details in Manchester…there are usually deals out of season..i did a factory visit..nice day out..
Hi both, great video (bit too much walking, as no pub at the end!!! 😜) Hopefully see you at the Overlander Show 🤗
Hi to you both and thank you, a pub at the end would of just made that walk even more incredible 🤣. Definitely see you at the Overlander show 🤙😊
Have a great weekend both,
Bruce and Linda.
Thank you both and the same to you too, have a great weekend 😊
Hey could you not turn your van around, so the hose could reach the fill point on your van LOL
Thank you and that would be the logical answer if only it wasn’t the busy strip on there one way system around the park. I would have blocked the road and not much room to turn etc. Happy Travels 😊
Absolutely fantastic video guys
Well done you lee and Jordie
Absolutely fantastic

Great video as always but I'm in awe of you both doing that walk! Good to see the fort as wouldn't be able to get there.

We always stay at warren farm it’s a bit easier on the legs
Great vlog both 👌
Thank you and we will have to check out Warren Farm next time, Happy Travels 😊
There are lots of lanes that worry me..but i might tackle it with an eriba..

Thank you for the tips and the camping shop does look well stocked 😊 Happy Travels 😊

hi guys what are those green huts attached to the pitches
We believe them to be a utility block containing individual pod, including a private toilet, basin, shower, and storage compartment.
@@lifes4touring ok thanks for the information 👍
No problem at all 😊 Happy Travels
I hope you are both keeping well 😊
Hi Sandra, we are keeping very well thank you and i hope both you and Neil are well too. 😊
I guys are you going over to France soon we are off on Sunday heading for Spain
We are off after the Overland show so around the 18th September. Then heading straight to Spain 😊 Happy Travels

Hi we have E bikes for the UK and scooters for the EU
Thats good to know and thank you 😊

Thank you and yes your right it wasn’t great for the cost, save and happy travels in France 🇫🇷
Great walks to the fort though…..they had a good day…nice position for a campsite…
i have 2 electric scoters for europe and a fold up e bike mirider fantstic bit of kit
Hi, e-bikes are something we will look to invest in for the future as will make things lots easier 😊 happy travels.
I prefer kick scooters…like a swifty….they are easy to transport,bikes are a pain…
