To get in a double major in 3.5 years is absolutely insane. To do that as the starting quarterback is almost unbelievable. Most athletes choose easy majors, but Finance and Political Science are no joke
I'am not the one on here criticizing Quinn, so its not about me, i'am comfortable in my living, but i would have to say it wouldn't be bad playing four years as QB for ND, and then to round it off the Browns. It should be a pretty good life..
Quinn doesn't even compare to those guys in college though. See, Montana and Theisman actually WON when they played in bowl games and played their rivals. The only time Quinn bothered to show up for one of those was the 2005 game against USC. Don't forget, I've won as many bowl games as the supposed "greatest Domer ever."
Those bowl games (of which there were 3) were against superior opponents to ND. In 04 they played Oregon State while having an inferior interim coach. Then there were 2 BCS games, where the ND defense gave up loads of yardage and points. He doesn't play defense.
Actually, according the SI and ESPN, the Pac-10 is actually the best conference at not scheduling a bunch of easy teams. Obvious best example is USC opening on the road against Virginia, then coming home to play Ohio State. And that same year USC lost to UCLA, Notre Dame went to the Sugar Bowl and got smashed by LSU. That's been what the Quinn era was all about; pile up stats against Army, Georgia Tech et al, and get destroyed by better teams. Notre Dame's schedule this season is mostly cupcakes
Very simple--- The Heisman goes to the most popular player on the best #1 ranked team. It's a bullshit award that doesn't mean what it used to. The media has changed the dynamic of how it is awarded and to who. Troy Smith was a joke. Quinn is and was clearly a better QB than Fraud Smith.
A LOT of quarterbacks can set records playing Army and Georgia Tech every year. The guy was a mediocre 2-2 against Michigan, 0-4 against USC, and you think such a great quarterback could at least end his team's bowl losing streak. Quinn was nothing but hype from Lou Holtz and NBC wanting to believe that Notre Dame was back. News flash, it isn't, and never was.
someones gotta let him play he played like half a season in Cleveland and everyones's like BUST!! theyre just haters he can still be a great NFL player on the right team send him to the Seahawks they have no QBs
somebody give this guy a chance. I mean it isnt like he played as bad as lienhart... in fact he never really had very many weapons in cleveland when he played... well when he did with winslow he had some great games... he just needs a chacne to prove himself... being number 3 on denvers depth chart doesnt do that justice... like trade him to a team that needs a qb for f sakes... like give him a shot in arizona or washington! cmon!
LOL, i have to wonder, anybody here making derogatory remarks regarding Quinn. Here's a news flash, what are you doing for a living? Pretty much says it all...
Wasn't Quinn's record against Michigan 2-2? Pretty mediocre. Not to mention he never beat his school's arch rival (USC), and only once came close. He also was unable to end Notre Dame's bowl losing streak. It seems to me that a quarterback who's really that good could at least win ONE bowl game.
derek anderson didnt make the browns good, joe thomas did. imagine what brady cold do with that protection? he took ND out of the gutter, he may not have won many big games, but losing to USC is nothing to complain about, especially when it's full of recruits who just want to go to a party school. the only thing ND has going for it now is prestige, kids these days dont want to be role models, they want to party, thus they get all the best players. BQ will be nasty in the NFL.
OK, fine, he DID beat Michigan. But he never beat USC, and never won a bowl game. You think the "greatest ND QB ever" could've at LEAST won a bowl game, or at least have big wins over teams that AREN'T cupcakes (hello, North Carolina!). Ya know, unlike Matt Leinart, who lost a grand total of TWO games his whole college career (and won 3 bowl games and a national championship), and played damn good against teams from "the toughest conference in the universe," AKA the SEC, again unlike Quinn.
The Whinin Irish faithful call him the greatest Notre Lame quarterback, NBC calls him the man who brought them back to prominence. They give him too much credit. Lots of guys can beat Navy and North Carolina. Quinn was never anything special.
Then come back in six years and we'll discuss Quinn as an NFL quarterback. As a college player, he was never as good, nor his team as great, as NBC and Lou Holtz always claimed. And when you were discussing great college QBs and pro careers, you conveniently left out guys like Jim Plunket, Joe Montana, Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar, Troy Aikman, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning.
And the fact that Notre Dame is overhyped year after year. The guy's the most overrated player in Notre Dame history. He never beat USC, never beat Michigan, never won a bowl game, never beat a REAL college football team. The Whinin Irish fans just think he's great. FIGHT ON!
To get in a double major in 3.5 years is absolutely insane. To do that as the starting quarterback is almost unbelievable. Most athletes choose easy majors, but Finance and Political Science are no joke
Two majors in three and a half years? impressive. The Browns haven't had a great quarterback in a while. Hope he can do it for them.
Ah no
Go to washington please!! your one of my favorite QB's till date! he just needs a chance! and we need someone with potential!
I couldnt agree more with you mayhemlee. Nicely put

You keep saying Brady didn't beat USC, or Brady had a 2-2 record against Michigan, dude it's a team effort man.
brady is the starter against broncos this thursday go Browns
I'am not the one on here criticizing Quinn, so its not about me, i'am comfortable in my living, but i would have to say it wouldn't be bad playing four years as QB for ND, and then to round it off the Browns. It should be a pretty good life..
Lol now he does talk radio 😂😂😂
You realize he does a lot on the side too related to these majors
Talk radio makes him millions
He's with jets now
And just what do you do for a living?

I'm an OSU fan, and actually he beat Michigan in '05, the same year ND got whooped on by OSU in the fiesta bowl

my sister went there
stiff release, shaky delivery, weak arm strength
great collegian qb, poor nfl qb
i feel like this is what justin bieber would look like if justin bieber was a man.
He might be overrated, but people are not giving him deserved credit, even though I hate ND with a passion.

Fine, he beat Michigan ONCE. He got owned by USC and in bowls though, only once actually making it a game against USC.

brady quinn is good, but in my opinion troy smith is better. all brady has on troy is size

Yeah, yeah, I've heard the excuses a thousand times, Willingham's a horrible recruiter. Weis isn't much better. In fact, I'd say he's worse.
Most overrated college football QB ever!!!! He did Notre Dame ever beat when he was there???
