U-he is quite ahead of other soft synth makers. My 2nd place would be the Tal-U-No-Lx, sounds incredible. I really struggle with other soft synths with way too many options. I'm not that synth freak. I prefer something with less controls, and more rawness. The DIVA is also great, but CPU usage is way too high. What are your favourites for pads/leads?.

there are "only" two modulation slots in the matrix, yes, but those are *in addition* to the Wheel Mod (LFO to five possible sources) and Poly Mod with two sources and three destinations... so in reality there are way more than two modulation slots. it's a Prophet 5 emulation, not a workhorse sound-design synth like Zebra. Adding more than the additional 2 slots would move things substantially away from the concept and spirit of the instrument its based on. and if you're clever, all the mod options I just listed can provide nearly limitless possibilities anyway.....
hey, you are right, there are two modulation slots available but the other three are limited to specific parameters so they limited what they make. Sure It's not a workhorse sound design synth but in 2018, we are always happy to have one or two more slots. Cheers
It is the best in class...Indeed one of 3 outstanding analog circuit emulations in general for me. Repro, P900 and the Model D app (which even might be the best ever in filter design). Dagger is great as well. These are the gold standards for me now :)
Rock And/Or Roll: Yes and i have also Monark! Moog Model D is the best for me by far. The filter is so superb and the feefback as well. It sounds all a bit more organic to me. Some others agree with me, some might not. Maybe it‘s because Moog modeled the new reissue Model D with the extra LFO. For me it‘s now the best Minimoog emulation and maybe even the best sounding software synth in general (without using FX). I payed 5 dollar and it runs on my phone. I guess i have to get an iPad again.
Thanks for your input Cinebient. The Repro bundle is one of thest analog circuit emulation right now. I don't have tested the P900 so I can't say something to it. The Model D sounds also fantastic and for me more important: that sound in a iPhone/iPad :)
Synapse Audio The Legend is right now the best Minimoog emulation for PC /Mac in my opinion. Urs Heckmann said that they don't make an Minimoog emulation because of the The Legend what I can understand :)
Monark is also great but I prefer personally the Legend. The Model D app great and can only confirm what you said: it was only $5 USD for that sound :) You have of course the iPad version for free if you buy it for iPhone ;)
It sounds good! It sounds very good! But I don't understand why so many say it sounds "amazing" or "great"!? I fail to hear anything special about it at all! Some nice filters and a good clean sound, but nothing a dozen other softsynths can't do, including a few freeware/cheapware plugins. Oh well - to each their own!
It sounds absolutely amazing but for some reason I just work sooo much better on DIVA. I'm gonna try this one in demo mode for a while longer before I make my final verdict but I just find it less intuitive to program than my #1 synth, Diva, or my other faves, Serum and Monark
I own Arturia v Collection and I have since V3. All I can say is that I would easily trade all of my V6 synths for this one. It sounds so much realer than Arturias over priced mediocre garbage.
If you have VERY deep pockets and lots of racks to put them on, I'd say go for the hardware, BUT, most of us don't and these pluggins are amazing for what they are. And I'll bet there are only a handful of ears on the planet, if any at all, that could pass an A-B test when the sound is in context. I go back to when we were splicing two track tape on a splicing block and there were no synths other that maybe some lab models that no one could afford and were very limited in the first place. Came thru all those development years and now I walk into my studio with my computer, 48 track lightwire interface to my Yamaha DM-2000 and a keyboard controller and a myriad of plugs, Guitar rig and several guitars and a couple of basses, and I'm in Disneyworld. I'll take it over the hardware and multitrack machines that weigh in like a piano in a heartbeat. Yes, a slight difference in the sound that few people can hear, but somewhat affordable compared to the million dollar studios of old. I probably have less than 50K in the stuff I still use. I could not have had the million dollar one, but over time I was able to get what I have. If I had this when I was 21 I would have starved to death because I would not have ever left the studio to eat lol!
Thanks for the demo. Never been happier with any soft synth as with the repro 5.
For me there are some others but Repro-5 is an amazing synth plugin :)

Yes, it is the best Prophet 5 emulation. Is amazing and it’s sounds so powerful.
Same here :) Thanks for your opinion :)
the only thing missing from Diva was a prophet 5 template, so I'm happy they made this

As a Rev2 P5 owner, this is as close as it gets.
Arturia, NO thanks for playing.
Is it better than Memory Moon's Messiah?
Neither of them sound close. So stop it

absolutely incredible virtual instrument
Fabulous synth and great demo. Thank you.

how do we use the MIDI learner to animate our effects ? (i have repro-5)

Won't happen, Apple hates musicians.

Agree that U-He should join the iOS bandwagon. That’s where my live rig has moved for 2019.
