This should be the very first thing to watch by people who may want to learn web development. Schools don't teach in this manner. They tend to teach the concept in a complex manner.
It's important to note that these days modern browsers use the https protocol (the secure/encrypted version of the http protocol). The default port for https is 443. This is a great and simple to follow introduction. Thanks for sharing!
I am shocked , this video is so good that it could have got more than 10 Million Views as the video is very simply explained. Thank you Sir 🌍 🌍from India.🇮🇳
Good catch! I left that out on purpose. (It's not the only step missing... :-) ) This was originally the first module of an intro-to-the-web course for complete newcomers. I felt that DNS processing was an unnecessary detail for that audience.
Only with you, sir, I finally could understand DOM! Is this video part of some course? If yes, how can I have access to the entire content? Thank you so much for this video! Best wishes from Portugal
Thank you for your kind words. This was part of the curriculum for a code school that doesn't exist any more, so the rest of the material is unavailable. I'm sorry. Obrigado pelo seu comentário!
I used Keynote for the slides and animation, Screenflow to do screen capture, and an H2 recorder with windscreen for the USB microphone. Thanks for watching!

I know, right? I'm sorry about the sound, but it's not possible for me to go back and re-record it. BTW, it's a cheap headset. That's the sound of the earcup hinge flexing. I thought I was the only one who could hear it but sadly, now it's a public embarrassment. :-(
Thanks for replying. Hey, you posted a video with great content, it was just what I was looking for and it was FREE. Who am I to complain. Thanks for posting!
