Trina dosent do R&B music, because thats not the music she prefers. Has nothing to do with her "sounding like Toni." In the group "The Braxtons," Tamar was always front and center. If you have the album "So Many Ways," Tamar is lead, Trina is second lead, and Towanda is 3rd lead. Because Tamar was younger, and she could appeal to the younger 90s audience. And fast forward to today, Tamar is a superstar. Just like in DC, you knew Beyonce was the star. In The Braxtons, you knew Tamar was that girl. Her look, and that voice. Just like The Jacksons, there is Michael and Janet, and the rest is supporting cast. In the Braxtons, theres Toni and Tamar, Trina, Towanda, and Traci are supporting cast. N thats ok. Because they are all successful in their own lane. Trina n Towanda dont want that spotlight anyway. But Traci, shes feels entitled to it for some reason. Shes that one family member thats like "if their famous. We should all be just as famous. How come im not just as successful... " and thats why she is the way she is.... bitter. Holding on to 25 year old issues when shes got a singing career now. She should be all good. But shes not. Bevause she feels she entitled to what Toni and Tamar worked hard to achieve.
Bs! Traci gets treated like shit, and disregarded constantly by her sisters, just look at BFV S1-6. Its very recent sweety, been like 25+ years of reoccurring emotional abuse by her sisters.
musicstan Yeah in Toni’s book, she said Trina was originally the lead singer of the braxtons because her tone is the best out of everyone, but if you ask me, I honestly think they all sound like the same person, just with different ranges. I always call Tamar and Trina the soprano versions of Toni. 😂

However, I feel like Traci being bitter is not unwarranted..... I think more than not being signed in the 1990s because of her pregnancy, she just never had the full fledged support of her sisters. That was and is her problem and where her disenchanted vibes toward her sisters came from.
