- Xmas Day 2017 we went sailing at Golden Beach, Sunshine Coast Queensland Aus. The afternoon sea breeze picked up a little more than expected as the gybe shows. We almost had to reef. The GPS recorded a top speed of 8.6 mph or or 7.5 knots.

Thanks! The centreboard only has enough ballast to sink it, maybe 20kgs.

what are the forward lines attached to ?
They're lines to hold tension on the curved staff to stabilize it. The GoPro is mounted on the staff.

Fun to watch but no info on the boat if your interested in a boat like the one in the video, but she's fast what ever kind o boat she is.

Wife and I are down sizing and want a open boat with simpler rigging that will encourage us to get out and sail more often. This design looks like what we're looking for.
