he was 17 here and now he's 32. My, how he has grown! He's grown into a handsome, talented man with a great sense of humor, goof ball if you will. Love his All That Echoes. He's multi talented, funny, a great guest host for talk shows and just an all around down to earth guy who doesn't seem to take himself too seriously.
Oh gosh, I remember watching this at the time... he was so young and so adorable, and what a voice even then! Now that he's 30 he pretty much makes me weak in the knees with that voice!
Awww...baby Josh...love it! She asks him would you like to be a professional singer and he says yes I think so...well Josh you've achieved that and in such an enormously successful way!
I just love this clip, have watched it many times over the years. Josh was so adorable and baby-faced, but so talented even then. We knew it was just the beginning. If you haven't picked up his new CD All That Echoes, do yourself a huge favor and go get the Special Edition at Target with 4 Extra Tracks!
Thank you sooooooo very much for sharing this video.. I've been seeking this for soooooo long.. and now everyone can see the young Josh in.. if I'm not wrong.. his first TV appearance.. :) ((hugs from Brazil))
Such a genuinely nice guy with an angelic voice, wonderful parents and a great teacher support plus the keenest insisting head-hunter to grab him in such tender an age for the Music industry. Fortunately he has the courage, the strength, the resilience and plenty of talents to keep him marching on and doing relentlessly what he loves best Musical Theater GOD guards and watches his every step. You are made from the finest and most precious wood Mr. Joshua Winslow Groban
Why are there comparisons between Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli? They are two completely different types of tenors singing two completely different types of music. Even Bocelli in his recording of "Con te partiro" shows himself to be more of a high lyric tenor. Josh sounds like a heldentenor, spinto tenor or dramatic tenor to me. Comparisons always jerk me. This dude deserves mad props for singing this piece as well as he does, even if it is a half step low. Bravo, Signor Josh!
Josh told a funny story about this tv appearance. His dressing room was next to some star who needed sleep so they told Josh he couldn't warm up his voice beforehand. Still did an amazing job with it Wow.
Wow I have been wanting to see this vid for sooooooo long and was not able to find it.THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting it. Josh has always been a cutie and wow that voice, that voice. Just love him to death. Thanks soo much.
Yes. If he is happy with who he is and the road he has traveled, then I am very happy for him. I'm not complaining about who he is now. I just really treasured him before all the platinum and Live with Kelly and other things. I love who he is now, but I think I love who he was then even more.
This is adorable. I've never seen the clip in its entirety. He has such talent and is so wonderful. I agree with some comments on here, I miss his...innocence, maybe? I don't know how to describe it but I miss the 2003 Josh I saw in Tampa (and in this clip). He seems a bit 'too' Hollywood now but that is bound to happen. It's not necessarily a bad thing, just a bit too 'on' sometimes. However, I still think he is just an amazing human being with a gorgeous talent. :)
OMG! This video is great! Thinking that these were the beginning and now Josh is a great artist, one of the best :D Really, I excited with the video. Thanks for uploading! ;)
@rivercah I love Josh Groban and will always be an admirer of him as an artist and person, but I pine for the Josh that was Live At The Greek. I really enjoyed him at that point. I can't complain and wish him to not have the successes and experiences in his life, but just like I wish kittens could stay cuddly and little forever, sometimes I wish Josh would have been able to stay in that moment of pre-platinum life.
Does anyone know how and where I can find other pics of him at this age? I loved his hairstyle here (and still do now)...Pretty wild to see him as an 18-year-old kid lol...his voice did sound somewhat different here...probably cuz it had just begun to gradually deepen as the years went on :)

And now he's 41!
And now he's 41 haha
@@GarchyOG ah dang it you beat me too it!
I love seeing stars before they became stars. Yet Josh is still the most down to earth human being ever.
Fabulous - you could see the potential and he did go on to sing at the Met and many many more famous venues. Well Done, Josh!
He was so young and sweet and innocent... *sigh* What a road you've been on, Josh! Can't believe I've been watching him since 1999!
I really appreciate that you uploaded this video. What a treat for those of us who didn't know of Josh back then.
He is such a great guy...such a great talent!!! Love love love Josh!!!!
Did you know Josh loves opera?
Oh gosh, I remember watching this at the time... he was so young and so adorable, and what a voice even then! Now that he's 30 he pretty much makes me weak in the knees with that voice!
Now 40

Wow! I love how much he's matured vocally, physically, and personality wise.
A voice like Andrea Bocelli in his youth, a face like Keanu Reeves in his youth and a talent like David Phelps in his youth.
I just love this clip, have watched it many times over the years. Josh was so adorable and baby-faced, but so talented even then. We knew it was just the beginning. Ive met him several times and he is still very down to earth. He always makes me laugh

Here's a scene of him singing Mattinata. The pop singers sing a lot of pop and rock music, but here is Josh's love of opera.
The discovery Of Josh Groban ❤

Love this rare clip. Thanks for sharing !
And the rest is history. Glad to find this debut video.
Josh told a funny story about this tv appearance. His dressing room was next to some star who needed sleep so they told Josh he couldn't warm up his voice beforehand. Still did an amazing job with it Wow.
My God he was practically a baby here, bless him, now look where he is!
Awwww! He's so cute here!!! So young!

I'm in love with him again, too!

He was just as good then as he is now... Amazing...
Omg Josh Groban singing Leoncavallo. I wish he'd make a classical album. Even if it's just art songs.
The sweet angelic face Josh Groban

What a cute young man

WOW, he was only a teenager here!
Dolce bambino!
awww, he was so young and just darling. i like that his hair is shorter now haha.
i wonder how many times he was force to tell the bocelli story since this interview
@EDubsGurl - Oh Yes he did, with Barbara Cook on 20 January 2006 at the Met!
Aww, good on ya Rosie!
Like Sam Moran, Paul Paddick and Simon Pryce, Josh Groban is a great opera singer.
People think he was cuter then?! I think he may be cuter but only because he's younger! I think he's a lot better looking now!
@wellandtrulyjoshed the Met? I don't think so
@Delphinus32 Ah, so you think he really changed?
Pavarotti was sick? Now he says the plane was late. Guess both are true.
@Susejevoli3
Mattinata by Leocavallo
@jesterimb You too, huh? He turned too polished :( After 10 years in the business, that tends to happen to singers...
Why does Josh's voice sound like Simon Pryce?
Definitely good looking here and even more good looking now!!! LOL!!!
I think he's good-looking no matter what age he is lol
He was just a baby ;-))

Doesn't josh wear glasses all the time or I thought he did why doesn't he have them on here don't he need them
+Hannah Consiglio Josh didn't use to wear his glasses all the time on stage - he still doesn't. I'm not sure if he has contact lenses too or not.
He wears contacts as well as glasses.
haha agreed
Honestly, for me, he was cuter then. He feels a little forced for me, now.
