@subsecretinc theres too many people that didn't like Daft punk. For the longest time, i thought they were overrated.... that is until i saw Interstella 55555 and i fell in love sadly that was only a few years before this video, i was too late
thats what makes them special, unique & iconic. no interviews, almost no shows at all, they release an album they disappear, they win grammy's they annouce another one, they win again they disappear and it happens all over again without them saying a single word. and the whole world talks about them, legends.
your childhood friend dies*, is gone forever and you keep in mind all the good memories but at first cries a lot remembering but with the time you'll recover and keep those memories with joy.
Damn 28 years. I remember seeing them for the first time on MTV "Around the World", probably how most of their fan base discovered them. I was a kid with our old-fashioned square TV in middle school. We saw them with the birth of EDM and to the point where EDM became mainstream. If modern dance music had founders, they were Daft Punk.
So many comments in so many different languages, it goes to show how large of an audience they had and how many people cared about them and their music

I come here after because this video makes me smile but very sad at the same time. I never got the chance to see Daft Punk but they provided me with music that made me soul dance. Songs that made me smile. And i have been having a hard time for a while. But this video always just gives me even a little bit of hope for some reason. Hope that I'll be okay. And if I die Young, that it'll be alright. Because I already lived through Heaven. I'm alright. I lived.

I'm back after 3 years. Still remember it like it was yesterday. News outlets going absolutely crazy and me crying in bed watching it unfold, seeing this with the first few millions of people the hour it was released. Thanks for it all, Daft Punk.
I still cant believe this is the end. They were always with me when i was child, teenage, adult. You guys, touched my soul, my life. Thank you.
You'll be missed legends, thank you for everything

Will they produce music as single artist or not
It's 5 months man!
5 months.
Time flies

Because it's made in heaven
Yup
it does indeed
excuse me it’s been 5 min- *dies *
Couldn’t stop thinking about this video at work today and it still hits me in the feels so hard, can’t believe it’s been 3 years already. These 2 meant and continue to mean so much to me as a kid and now as an adult, I hope they know how much of a positive impact their work has made on people’s lives. Thank you daft punk 🤖❤
They must be the most misunderstood band ever. Underrated. Iconic. Influencial. Unique. Classy. And futuristic. From the very beginning did they know what they wanted to create. Worth admiring. Long live their legacy.
:(
They are not underrated
Underrated!!???
@subsecretinc theres too many people that didn't like Daft punk. For the longest time, i thought they were overrated.... that is until i saw Interstella 55555 and i fell in love sadly that was only a few years before this video, i was too late
I love how THIS is their announcement to the world that they’re saying goodbye. No words. Just art. It’s absolutely beautiful.
Literally what I’m saying as I’m watching
Saddest thing ive seen in years musically

If love is the answer, you are home.
4 studio albums in 28 years. You weren’t around often, but when you were, you were fantastic. Thank you
Also the fact that they barely toured. So sad
thats what makes them special, unique & iconic. no interviews, almost no shows at all, they release an album they disappear, they win grammy's they annouce another one, they win again they disappear and it happens all over again without them saying a single word. and the whole world talks about them, legends.
So they also didn't pass the Gene Simmons barrier.
Yes
@@RomelioSanz what is the gene Simmons barrier?
This feels like your childhood friend moving away to be never seen again
your childhood friend dies*, is gone forever and you keep in mind all the good memories but at first cries a lot remembering but with the time you'll recover and keep those memories with joy.
Daft Punk were gay. My music is so much better.

The end of an era.
The end of Daft Punk.
But always in our hearts.
DAFT PUNK FOREVER.

So many comments in so many different languages, it goes to show how large of an audience they had and how many people cared about them and their music
facts
it actually makes me happy that i can only find like one or two english comments
It's beautiful to witness, in a bittersweet way
For real it makes me feel so happy but sad
That's it man, I'm from Sao Paulo city Brazil and DP hits here were: Da Funk, One More Time, Harder Better Faster Stronger, Robot Rock, Techonologic, Around the world, Rollin and Scratchin and Get Lucky. Saddest news, i've alreasy lost Keith Flint (The Prodigy), Gerald Casale (Devo) and daddy Florian Schneider (Kraftwerk).
I wish I could've seen you guys live.. I was too young in 1997, too broke in 2007, prayed for a 2017 tour that never happened.. but I understand
The fact that they probably planned their last world tour but decided to quit when covid hit
Fuvk covid ,it ruined everything
I hate Covid
Did they plan the tour?
COVID has really broken the spell on our charmed existence
Do not worry they will nuke China soon and return like a phénix
Thank you for everything 🙏

I come here after because this video makes me smile but very sad at the same time. I never got the chance to see Daft Punk but they provided me with music that made me soul dance. Songs that made me smile. And i have been having a hard time for a while. But this video always just gives me even a little bit of hope for some reason. Hope that I'll be okay. And if I die Young, that it'll be alright. Because I already lived through Heaven. I'm alright. I lived.
You are a core memory of my childhood. I’ll never forget your songs. Thanks 😊 xx
Daft punk is the definition of “Quality over Quantity.”
Very true. Artists need to take note. Too many songs lacking substance are being churned out to keep relevancy.

The amount of different languages in the comment section summarizes it, they reached to so many people with their music all over the world. I honestly think it's one of the best achievements a musician can get, hopefully they're now on their way back to their home planet, love you guys.
Would you say their music has been listened to, Around the World?
Yes.
@@Misterfairweather ahaha nice one

Sometimes I come here to cry.
If love is the answer your home…… to quote one of my favourite songs of all time: our work is never over
They cared about their fans to the point of making this video.
Thanks for all the memories, Daft Punk.
Hey I made our two digital friends sing one last time, it's the last video on my channel. Feel free to stop by if you feel like it 😊

And so ends one of the most influential duos. Not with hatred and denial, but with peace and acceptance. People from around the world have come here to commemorate your contribution to music, and reminisce the good times your music has given to us. Something we will cherish and pass on. May your music and influence never be forgotten.
RIP Daft Punk - You will be missed.
Damn speech, causita!
I’m still kinda in denial honestly, I loved their music and it feels kinda weird knowing that they’re broken up now, never making music again. I hope they’re still good friends after this
Damn you had me thinking that they actually died lol.
