Jaguar F-Pace SVR road review | Supercharged 550PS supercharged V8 monster | 4K

We road and track test the Jaguar F-Pace SVR to consider whether performance SUVs will soon be a thing of the past.
With a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 making 550PS (404kW) of power and 700Nm (516lb ft) of torque the F-Pace SVR will accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds and on to 178mph.
A starting price of £77,595 means it’s up against rivals like the Porsche Macan Turbo, Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio and Mercedes GLC 63 AMG. The AJ133 was a clean sheet design back in 2009, no connection to previous AJ V8s.

I love my SVR , got it with the 22 inch rims and handles like a gem. I would not recommend this SUV to deaf people as they have no idea what they are missing out on, I just love the roar it makes and personally I think its the best sounding SUV on the market.

What tires was this SVR equipped with haha?? My SVR is the tightest and most predictable SUV I’ve driven on tight, windy roads lol. And I’ve driven the X3M, GLC63, Stelvio QF, and Macan Turbo. I was able to order my SVR from factory with sticky Pirelli P-Zero summer tires. Night and day handling compared to my pre-facelift SVR that could only be ordered with all-season comfort tires in N.A.

I had this car on a 24hr test drive, and it’s amazing. Lovely double cream V8 rumble, great steering, great interior, sharp brakes, massively improved suspension and a stack of character you can’t help but love - this vegan nonsense drives me up the wall.
If you just want to point at a lovely motor and sneer at the ICE then you can get knotted. If you have something interesting to say that doesn’t involve kale or plant based alternatives then you have my attention.
