And the part that really burns my ass is the fact that ALL artists are using auto-tune. If you have to use auto-tune then you CANNOT sing. Find another way to earn a living.

To be fair James Hetfield even said you dont have to be good at singing, just have to use your voice like an instrument. Auto tune isn't bad because thats just the sound most music uses today and some artists do use these things like instruments while others try to fool the masses. To me a true artist would know what sound they are going for and utilize everything they have so they can make their music. Its their art just like everything slipknot and every other genuine band try to accomplish
I used to listen to this album on my portable CD player on my way to the bus stop every morning to school and I still think its the heaviest album I've ever heard. Was a great way to start the day.
The original idea for the band was to be a percussion focused band with more than the usual amount of members. The DJ joined the band because he headbutt clown at one of their earlier shows, and Corey wasn't the original singer. He actually came over from stone sour and brought Jim root, guitar, with him. Fun fact they hate the masks but they used them to get attention because at the time there was no music scene in Iowa and they needed to get exposure somehow. This band has a crazy history if you want to look it up sometime!
The masks were a multi-purpose thing. It allowed most of the members to keep their privacy, it was also explained that the masks are there so you listen to the music, not look at pretty faces, keep in mind that these guys blew up in an era where boy-bands were getting very popular.

I’ve been in the pit for multiple slipknot shows, and as crazy and insane as they were, best live band I’ve ever seen is hands down Rammstein. Slipknot definitely top 10.
