Saturday’s Alright For Fighting is a good example of the 1-4 chord movement with a characteristic EJ rhythmic pattern.

great tip.. thanks. off to check out your other vids and probably subscribe. also, for theory heads, I believe this trick is called a plagal cadence ... dont know why I know that or how it is useful, but there it is lol

Hi Tim. Love these Elton Chord analysis vids. Talking music theory it’s one of my love languages. 🎶🎹❤️. I’m a member of is it possible to tell me the app or program your using in this vid to demonstrate the keyboard and notation and if you can edit and print your scores. What you would recommend please. Cheers and thanks for all of your effort.

Glad you like them! The software is called Classroom Maestro and there is a discount for members inside TopMusicPro. Highly recommend. And the way we get it all onto one screen is in video post production.

I want my piano to sound like Elton’s live piano sound. And yes I know about mks 20 and the motif rack but ya, I want that live sound

And of course he even goes to the five chord with the one chord root sometimes as in Your Song. I guess you could call it lazy bass syndrome.

I love my Elton songs and piano playing! My problem is I cannot read chords and notes that is so hard for me and it's depressing me. Cuz I want to play a lot of Elton songs he's my favorite singer and my favorite piano player all time for 47 years I've been listening to this beautiful man and loving him and I want to play some of his beautiful songs which they're all beautiful I can never play like Elton but I would love to play some of this beautiful songs! Thanks for the tutorial please make sure to make some more Elton tutorials, thank you!
