1:41...Phil nailed what I've been saying.....guys like Rose and Bonds are immortal. The 2024 'HOF' is here, on youtube/digital/internet etc etc. The physical HOF is antiquated. We can romanticize it all we want, but that is the reality. Who do people talk about? Pete Rose, or Harold Baines? There it is. As for Bonds...I've been watching baseball since 1982. He's the best I've ever seen (excluding the whole Shohei/Roy Hobbs thing). And it's not close. Lastly, Philmington, both my parents are immigrants. I get it. My dad didn't try to play these American sports. His advice to me for everything was 'be aggressive'! 😂
Excellent questions! I think maybe Topps/Ohtani revealed the one signing in Kanji? But I am not certain. Or what if this guy didn’t announce all this and just did it? And then announced he pulled another Kanji blue? And just hoped that no one with him when he did it would call him out? Lots of potential issues here.
Im not sure if he ever autographed a kanji on the blue batting card. The one I was referring to was on the blue pitching card. You can look up 2018 bowman checklist and find the one from cardboard connection and it shows the actual card. I believe it’s serial number is 27/150
Management of pitchers drives me nuts. These guys start games going 110%. 1) dont do 110% (cough.Degrom.cough). 2) Build up to 95-100% over the first couple innings. I look at tennis pros...they warm up for *90 minutes* before a match. Even then, they aren't serving all out the first couple service games. There are a few additional factors here of course. more spin too. pitching year round as a kid...and what Pedro is getting at...if you build muscle..you really need to work on flexibility too. You get tighter if you don't, mess up your kinetic chain...and then strong muscles are yanking improperly on tendons and ligaments...poof....

Scanning is definitely going to be a problem going forward. I’m watching an eBay seller doing a player break of 2024 Gilded who would not list the Lou Gehrig spot for their first break, even after I told them multiple times they didn’t list him and they responded they would look into it. It breaks on Monday and if they pull the Lou Gehrig cut auto I will know they CT scan their boxes.
