I also do not like fake multipliers, and I believe there are rules in certain states against that as well. Though you can just scratch off barcodes on any tickets, particularly tickets such as crosswords, poker hands, etc. which require more time and concentation to play. Tickets like these which are very easy to play tend to have lower odds of hitting and/or a lower overall rate of return.

You are talking about the scummy things they do on the cards without acknowledging the worst one being the neighboring numbers. For example if one of your numbers is 2 and any number on the card is 1 or 3 chances are that it is a losing card.
