Sad😢, Rode for both Haro and Gt in late 80's and early 90's. I own a small restoration company and we already are seeing the cost increase on certain parts. Forks and handlebars with stamped logo are like gold! Shocker but not surprised. Buy your parts, good luck with the riders and employees facing layoffs. God Speed!
GT and Mongoose, once big names in the cycling world, have hit a rough patch. Poor management and some bad decisions have put them in a tough spot. GT Bicycles, owned by Pon Holdings, has been put on hold. They’ve laid off people and stopped making new products, which shows they don’t have a clear plan. This decision is part of a bigger picture about how Pon manages its cycling brands, including Mongoose. Mongoose has had some trouble with people thinking it’s not as good as it should be, partly because it’s often sold in stores that sell cheaper stuff.. Both brands have been struggling to stay ahead of the curve and keep their customers happy, which has hurt their reputation and made people less likely to trust them. Further to this, these brands have been notified of their poor performance and actively chose to disregard those concerns.
Great collection. I did a video today as well. Stay rad!
Thanks Sean. I think I was in the middle of making mine when yours went live. Great minds think alike! 👊
Nice collection keep GT alive
Thanks Brother.. Will do!
So interesting to hear about this! Great video 👌🏼
It’s really a sad story. I appreciate your support Jackson!

I can just see Eddie Fiola on that yellow bike. I saw Eddie at an AFA competition in Austin back in 86. I had a green Dyno Compe. Man, this sucks.
Yep. Hard to believe this is happening.
Well, GT could go the way of Hutch and produce a limited series of bikes similar to the Hutch Trickstar
Agreed. I feel like the constant switching of ownership led to their demise. They weren’t engaged with what the customer really wanted.
Reminds me of when Brian Lopes just started racing for GT but wasn't sure if he was getting paid. So, ya GT is anonymous with bankruptcy.
Just really sucks.
@bmxfreestylefanatic agreed. GT really had fantastic bikes

Well said. Thanks for the information!
I think Denis G should consider buying GT 😀
That’s a great idea!! 👌💯
GT will be bought out for the name. At this point all bikes in the U.S. are basically rolling out of the same factory in Taiwan, anyway.
Agreed. 👍
Boss or l&s still making trick frames and parts.
