@@_santos13 warranty is only as good as the parts supply and the company that backs it.
Warranties are also expensive and time consuming. My bet is they are not going to come to your home and fix this in a timely manor.

In 2015, the average annual electricity consumption for a U.S. residential utility customer was 10,812 kilowatt hours (kWh) - according to your website the POP produces between 3,400 kWh and 6,200 kWh a year. Is this being addressed for the US market, especially California with larger homes?

Keep in mind that you get to deduct 30% of your federal taxes from this system since it is solar powered energy. That takes the price down to around $12k. Now lets do some math. Depending on where you live you can get 4-6,000 kWh per year from one smartflower. The average Hawaiian pays the most for electricity in the US and uses around 6,100 kWh per year, which at their average rate of 33 cents per kWh costs $2025 per year or around $170 per month. So after 6 years of owning one in Hawaii, you break even and get free electricity after that which amounts to saving $170 a month.
NOW the average electric bill for the average american, per year is only $1,300 per year ($110 a month) so you would have to own one for 9 years and 3 months to break even and then you get to save $100 a month after that. However this is just in the US, if you live in Jamaica for example your kWh price is 44 cents! That means that you break even in 4.5 years if you use 6,100 kWh per year!
At this rate, assuming that your SmartFlower breaks exactly after 5 years, its still more affordable to keep buying them, Just that half year of free electricity will save you $270 a year over those 5 years. Then it will save you $220 a month, again assuming you're living in Jamaica which is a country with high electricity prices.
So my advice, do the math on how much you're spending on electricity and how long you expect one of these to last. If you think it will last longer than it takes you to break even, its a good investment!

I do . That's got it's own grid tie inverter built in, all it needs is two #4 wires a neutral and a ground, connected into a standard 220 VAC meter box, standard on most homes today, Wire the two #4's into a circuit breaker, and hook the ground, and neutral up and that looks like about all it need to operate. It looks like a plug and pay system, and it's looks like not much else is needed. I would say at $6.00 a watt it would be a great buy. That would be 24k for 4,000 watt system. installed.

I hooked up a sunnyboy inverter last month . that gird tie inverter built in is already going to be connected to the solar panels, only thing left is the household VAC. I think they can reduce cost as they come on line . When they get production cost down it will be a great product.
