Well coordinated squads rarely exist in War Thunder. I was lucky enough when I took control of a battle by using the map to call out enemy aircraft in one of those air survival games (I forgot what the gamemode is called)
mistake number six: you're too stingy with your ammo. Don't try to only use exactly as many rounds as needed to destroy a pillbox. As nice as it is to be able to secure more ammo to kill more pillboxes before rearming, it's better to take one out in a single pass then to try and go around, then get shot down on turn 2, or to simply not have the altitude or airspeed to turn around
Gaijin the new upgrade modifications are a bad idea we get no fpe stock but other enemy players can have 3 Extinguishers This isn't fair and makes it harder for the individual player to play

I actually do have 2 things to add as a excellent ground attack pilot. 1-use everthin you have avalible to your advantage like the terrain, use the vallies and gorges for cover or make it hard for a enemy to hit you, and say your carryin bombs dont just use em offensivly to kill tanks if the situation is just right or your desperate use em defensivly, gaijin even has a little reward for if ye can kill a plane with a bomb. 2. If you continuously fail at realistic battles try playin simulator battles n learn to ground attack there, its very rewardin and i would like some competition in sb for ground attacking
Stuka is great because it spawns at a high enough altitude to kill enemy bombers before making an attack run. Other attack craft spawn too low for that and I get eaten up by fighters before I get my payload off.
This is helpful and all to the mid tier battles where SPAAGs are manually aimed , but the radar guided SPAAGs at the top tier practically nullify any attacker, especially if there is more than one of those anti-airs running around.
Gaijin: "You need a squad to stay safe." Me: "That's my secret, the ground is my squad." Attackers may be tremendously slow and low, but fighters will always overshoot if you place yourself well enough.

Speaking from experience in ground rb and squadron battles, planes cant stay high due to the game's rendering of ground vehicles for planes. Ground attack aircraft cant see their targets until they are closer to the ground, which also makes ground aa super deadly. We cant even see the threat until its too late or when we're on top of them. Plus in addition to some cas nerfs, its harder to deal with these threats. War Thunder needs to give a little nerf to aa and increase visual and render distances to planes when spotting ground targets.
A good starter attack aircraft is the BB-1. I use it because it has a turret on the back which can protect your back from enemies and it has great speed and firepower as mentioned in the video.
I don't know for top tier jets but AD2 > F8F In the Bearcat you can have 2 max kills with bombs but the Skyraider can have rockets in addition which means you can have 2-3 more kills Also it's more durable and has good canons to defend itself, spot or destroy open tops So Yes, I am more effective in an attacker against ground targets
A other part of the equation is also the route you take. If you immediately rush the center of the map to attack an enemy base, then the enemy fighters will catch you no question. But if you route away from the action, stay at or near treetop level, and circle the map, then the enemy fighters have a lower chance of catching you. With this trick, you'll easily destroy a base or two per match
Landing on an airfield that is not occupied, near an enemy spawn and waiting for the enemy bombers to return to base then take off and ambush them on the ground or when they are trying to land is alot easier than trying to shoot them when other enemy planes are around 😉
I think it's less of mistakes and more that fighters are very, very powerful; you get one of them on your tail; one that isn't willing to simply fly past you like in the video, and you are dead, no matter what.
The largest mistake that kills me most of the time is not paying attention to the radar or mini map. There are enemies I am chasing but did not notice another at my six and one single shot knocked out my tail and I am basically "coming in on a wing and a prayer."
Yeah my advice is literally don’t even go towards enemy direction until you’ve reached above 6,000 meters up. And don’t stop climbing till you’re around 7k-8k meters. Once you’ve done that, you can open your air brake, dive straight down on enemy bases, drop your payload, start to close the air brake, begin to turn back up, then turn on your WEP and go right back to whatever altitude you were at. If you see a fighter climbing up to you, don’t wait until he got up to your level, once he’s at about 2km below, fly DIRECTLY over top of him, he will get eager and point his nose straight up, meanwhile use some speed to keep climbing just enough to where he isn’t closing fast, then once he is about to stall, DIVE ON HISS PUNK ASS. Rip him to shreds as he sits there basically not moving, and then use all your speed to climb straight back up, rinse,🚿 and repeat 🔁 🤫👌🏼
In ground RB, spawn at the airfield or immediately dive or else you'll be spotted. No attacker in the world can survive someone who KNOWS you're coming and where.
I find it painfully ironic that while talking about maintaining altitude because you climb slow, he is shooting a BF109.... basically the reason you don't want to and typically cant stay up high.

Oops!! Video falsely states that the A-36 does NOT carry bombs!! That is not true at all: one can choose between 2 x 100lb; 2 x 250lb; and 2 x 500lb. The A-36 is a wonderful Attacker aircraft at it's tier. One of my favorite. It also appears to be the initial fuselage design of the first Mustangs. The A-36 is one attacker that makes a worthy fighter after it's dropped its bomb load. I've gotten a large number of aircraft kills with it. :)
Wild Warhog212 well many of the American Jets we have now never had access to Hydras. So upgrading the 6+ HVARs that these Jets get would be a good option!

My big mistake that killed me in an attack air craft was rushing 3 SPAA's and 1 tank at the same time I killed the SPAA's but the tank got me when I was ascending from the battle
Can I be the first one to say attacker teamkill is huge, I took out an entire pocket of trucks with a bomb and another jealous teammate shot me out the sky
not doing a head to head fight with a attacker is the worse thing you can do while you cross path with a fighter. you have more firepower and often even have armor. you see a fighter heading to you, blow him up with all your fury, that would be his mistake. but if you just avoid him, he will just get into your 6 and he will have the advantage on you. you hardly have any-chance to get him back in front of you anymore and you can only hope that someone get him or that you have some good defensive gunner. even if you know how to "dance" well, you can only make your agony last longer.
You didn't mention the Beaufighters.... makes me thing there's not even 1 battle worthy role for them. Can't ground attack without rockets since most are either pillboxes or heavy tanks and can't fight fighters not hunt bombers. Climbing is a real pain because of how slow it climbs and the only advice I get is boom and zoom but without altitude that's impossible.

Another VERY common mistake, never fly directly at your target. I see this all the time, someone is so tunnel visioned on killing a particular tank that they dont see the shell of the tank coming out of nowhere and bopping the plane right on the nose!
It seems when i try to "Dance" They land even better shots then me just flying in a straight line. As soon as i try to avoid being hit, my engine, pilot and gunners are always instantly destroyed.....
One time i saw a allied bomber flying alone so i came up on his wing in a fighter to let him know i was there he saw two enemy fighters and radioed me to attack them i said affirmative i was shot down 2sec later so much for that escort lol
DON'T FLY TIRED!!! After a long all-nighter I was flying ground attacker in my squad I told them I was flying asleep they said just 1 more match. OK 1 more! First plane located ground units, reached units, started dive, woke up to the sound of crashing into the ground, 2nd victim I mean plane. made first attack with no kills then was awoken by my squad screaming WAKE THE F UP YOUR SNORING! and YOUR FLYING OFF THE MAP. I said goodnight after trying a 3rd plane and launching all my rockets making 2 kills and flying into the ground.
Try losing people on your tail through the canyons then fly back towards your friendly aa and tank positions they will worry about you and not crashing but not the aa fire
Mistake Number Six: You want to survive Drop the bombs from higher altitude or use few sec fuse times are good if you want to survive your own attack BUT you have a bigger chance to miss the target. Don't. Want. To survive. Load a highest amount of bombs, choose a target and dive. Before crash to your enemy press the Spacebar and drop your bombs onto the top of your target. You will lose your aircraft but you will get a tons of Research Points, Silver Lions and Spawn Point as a reward. It sounds stupid but works and Gaijin always give rewards for stupid players.

I found the best trick to do Really Sharp Turns have the engine speed turn down to 6% then make the turn and go back to 100% Thrust

Why did you change the ki-102otsu into a heavy fighter? It was an attacker IRL and it carried bombs!
Pay attention to the terrain when you engage a dive bomber
Never ever try to hit an enemy trying to hit your allied ground forces if enemy has a few more buddies coming your way and that you have none
Set fuse time for 2 seconds to avoid a serious emotional event!

Heres a tip for war thunder if on fire in a plane do barrel rolls until the fire goes out it might be a glitch but idk

It’s really hard to cover your teammate when you’re using a console, unless the enemy is slow and they take a turn that will make it an easy target.

Another VERY common mistake, never fly directly at your target. I see this all the time, someone is so tunnel visioned on killing a particular tank that they dont see the shell of the tank coming out of nowhere and bopping the plane right on the nose!

Don't forget your gunners if you have them! Amp up their crew and at time, you don't even need to switch to the gunner crew! Max crew are hell to pay!

It seems when i try to "Dance" They land even better shots then me just flying in a straight line. As soon as i try to avoid being hit, my engine, pilot and gunners are always instantly destroyed.....

DON'T FLY TIRED!!! After a long all-nighter I was flying ground attacker in my squad I told them I was flying asleep they said just 1 more match. OK 1 more! First plane located ground units, reached units, started dive, woke up to the sound of crashing into the ground, 2nd victim I mean plane. made first attack with no kills then was awoken by my squad screaming WAKE THE F UP YOUR SNORING! and YOUR FLYING OFF THE MAP. I said goodnight after trying a 3rd plane and launching all my rockets making 2 kills and flying into the ground.
Try losing people on your tail through the canyons then fly back towards your friendly aa and tank positions they will worry about you and not crashing but not the aa fire

Mistake Number Six: You want to survive
Drop the bombs from higher altitude or use few sec fuse times are good if you want to survive your own attack BUT you have a bigger chance to miss the target. Don't. Want. To survive. Load a highest amount of bombs, choose a target and dive. Before crash to your enemy press the Spacebar and drop your bombs onto the top of your target. You will lose your aircraft but you will get a tons of Research Points, Silver Lions and Spawn Point as a reward. It sounds stupid but works and Gaijin always give rewards for stupid players.

He could’ve just said “don’t crash” and have that be the whole video because I see far too many people crash and it’s like I’m the only one not crashing
