    This tip was very helpful for me because I love pouring resin for a glossy finish look on my canvas artwork.

    I've only ever poured on small canvases so I never considered the heaviness being an issue so happy i watched this before I moved on to bigger projects!!

    That is an awesome idea. I wish I would’ve seen this an hour ago. I just tried to pour on a canvas didn’t turn out so well waste of a lot of resin. Thank you so much for sharing this. I guess I should’ve looked it up before I poured on the cameras. Can you give me any tips on why the resin does not like the edge of the canvas?

    What is paper under the canvas which you used for prepping? Brown kraft paper or something else? Thank you.

    Great information Nadia, would you think this a good idea to do as well with a large canvas that your going to do perhaps a Dutch pour on then give it a top coat of resin. Just an idea your thoughts would be interesting and your mums too thanks again xx😘😘🦋🦋

      Yes that’s a great idea! Anything that can weigh down the canvas can be prevented just by doing a layer on the back. You never can be too prepared in my opinion. Thanks for your comment Barbara! 💗

    I'm wanting to add crushed glass just in a few places on my canvas and use epoxy to apply them. Would the canvas still warp even if it's only applied in a few small places? 🤔

    HI Nadia Thank you for a very helpful tip but when did your mam colour the canvas ?? Lin ❤️👍

    • @SummerGirlDesigns
      @SummerGirlDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! She painted it with acrylic paint after the resin on the back of the canvas has hardened and she flipped it around. Just to outline where she wants to put resin 🤗

      You can use foam paper or cardboard cut it and place it on the backside

  • @artlee5370
    @artlee5370 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    This isn't a good idea I did this it sucking the canvas in from the back so when you put the artresin on the front it makes it look all wavy and dented in

    • @stephaniemathis5890
      @stephaniemathis5890 ปีที่แล้ว

      That means you put the resin on unevenly the first time

  • @missy7018

    Why not just use wood canvas ? So much better than stretched.

    I have a question. I’m new to alcohol ink and resin and I was gathering my materials to start, but I ended up seeing a lot of scary videos on TH-cam, about people having very bad reactions to resin! I know one should wear gloves and goggles but these people said resin can cause lung cancer even, and a respirator mask is absolutely essential! I searched for masks on Amazon and they are so bulky and expensive! People also said never do resin inside your living space..what are your thoughts on this? Is it really so dangerous? I see so many people making resin products and they don’t even wear masks!
