Great work , using the old masters technique , the painting of the wife came out beautifully. What an amazing angle of this 3/4 tilt with the shadow under the jaw , brilliant. 👍
uups, ... that he's sharing so much knowledge absolutely for free with those, who do'nt want to invest money. Sir, you deserve greatest respect in any way. Wishing all the best to come for you in 2019. God bless you.
Lovely portrait of Valentina. It creates such a mood. Really overwhelming how you get such a luminous skin tone ala prima. I would think it would require a monochrome under painting with transparent glazes. Very interesting to see. Thanks
I absolutely LOVE your work and your videos, I am just starting on my oil painting journey, and you are a huge inspiration.... Thank you, and happy Christmas to you Cesar!
The last comments on this video made me laugh out loud! Totally true! I would rather spend money on a DVD that will HELP me get better!! Loved the video! incredible work!
Merry Christmas Cesar!!!, thanks for the video love it, love the process and love how you talk about it: it wont feel like magic or something... it feels human and possible. Thanks for the inspiration my buddy!!!!
Hola Cesar Santos admiro mucho tu trabajo. No entiendo mucho el ingles. Pero aprendo mucho viendo como pintas. Me gustaria poder ver una traduccion al español para comprender mas. Como sea es increible tu trabajo.
My goodness, your wife is lovely! Lucky you to have such a model, and how beautifully you've rendered her. All I have is my husband. No chance to practice hair with him, he's got the Yul Brynner thing going. ;)
Beautiful wife...beautiful painting! I still am not able to grasp and apply the various colors in the skin. They can be sooo subtle! Please explain which painting method you chose: direct, wet-on-wet, etc. Share colors you use for the skin? Thank you for the videos. :)
@@sizah185 yes. For me I think that he explained the painting part better than in the previous portrait DVD. His pallet was messy/dirty before but in this DVD it's clean new pallet and so less confusion.
@@blackcat138 Thanks for replying. That was pretty helpful, I was on the fence about getting that DVD, partly because I have the portrait one. I think I'll get the drawing one next and then the figure painting. 1 last question, how did you find the drawing dvd?
@@sizah185 it was ok, but the figure painting is what I'd get first before figure drawing or skip the drawing DVD all together because drawing is about lines and values only, I know it's important but it was so long, boring and repetitive , besides its something you have to learn on your own no matter what. while painting is something you might learn and enjoy by watching and taking notes.
Seriously love watching these man! Well put together. Totally going start up a sketch up with some paintings in it! Never thought of that! Also gonna challenge my self to give Oil again this year. I normally tend to do better with acrylics haha. I always keep forgetting how many we can always do over and over each time if one doesn’t work well!
I love the warm colour reflecting back on the girls chin from her sweater
The souls of the Master painters live on your body. Literally. Love it.
I loved seeing the connection between the old masters and now. Lovely gesture and beautiful painting. Cheers!

That time lapse was really informative how you did the dark tones first then the light tones and then blended them together. Makes it look so simple.

Mr. Ceasar Santos! Two questions. Do you use pure black or a mixture of colors making it pure dark? If no. What is your darkess color in painting?
Beautiful
