But from a societal and social responsibility standpoint, they were adults by that age regardless (and all of that makes perfect sense for a variety of reasons/ necessity, such as the fact that the average lifespan was far shorter). Instead of people having (and being able to actually make use of) that longer lifespan, they must "be educated" according to artificially imposed standards and will so they can be/ will be hired in the "world of work" - i.e. the business and corporate world. Without that education most people will not be hired. So then you have to follow the money and ask: Cui Bono? What they have done now, forced upon society by religion, special interests, institutions, Academia, etc. (in large part by financial motivations), is to actually in many ways harm Western societies. They lose that labor force. Young people loose that work experience. Young people lose that sexual experience and experience raising and taking care of a family while they're still young. It was also I believe, because it was natural. Child birth only gets more difficult for women as they age. This is the way the entire world used to do things. It was nature and natural. And it had nothing then (or now in reality) to do with socioeconomic systems or sociopolitical systems (Capitalism, Socialism, Communism, Democracy, etc.). But now so-called modern Western values and religious values have been imposed upon us, and it is in most ways harmful (especially as economies, and industries collapse, population grows, and humans will increasingly have less jobs (nowhere near enough jobs or the means to survive as robots, mechanization, and artificial intelligence take over). Human societies were inherently based on/ upon the Free Market and social/ societal cohesion (Democracy in one form or another in terms of behavior). Of course it was also more a matter of survival and a dog eat dog world. Then you had Aristocracy/ Monarchy/ Dynasty which was both good and evil. The point of all of this for me is: Why and how did we end up where we are now? And that is the kind of research I've been doing for the last 15 years.

We walked up stairs, because we didn't have an escalator in every store and office building. We walked to the grocery store and didn't climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time we had to go two blocks.

We exercised by working so we didn't need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity.

We drank from a fountain when we were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time we had a drink of water. We refilled writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and we replaced the razor blades in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull.

Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or walked instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service. I'm the age that remembers the Ozone crisis as well. Then I learned Ozone is produced with every single lightning bolt, every second of the day around the world. No way it could ever be depleted. A little education goes a long way.

But from a societal and social responsibility standpoint, they were adults by that age regardless (and all of that makes perfect sense for a variety of reasons/ necessity, such as the fact that the average lifespan was far shorter).
Instead of people having (and being able to actually make use of) that longer lifespan, they must "be educated" according to artificially imposed standards and will so they can be/ will be hired in the "world of work" - i.e. the business and corporate world. Without that education most people will not be hired. So then you have to follow the money and ask: Cui Bono?
What they have done now, forced upon society by religion, special interests, institutions, Academia, etc. (in large part by financial motivations), is to actually in many ways harm Western societies. They lose that labor force. Young people loose that work experience. Young people lose that sexual experience and experience raising and taking care of a family while they're still young.
It was also I believe, because it was natural. Child birth only gets more difficult for women as they age. This is the way the entire world used to do things. It was nature and natural. And it had nothing then (or now in reality) to do with socioeconomic systems or sociopolitical systems (Capitalism, Socialism, Communism, Democracy, etc.).
But now so-called modern Western values and religious values have been imposed upon us, and it is in most ways harmful (especially as economies, and industries collapse, population grows, and humans will increasingly have less jobs (nowhere near enough jobs or the means to survive as robots, mechanization, and artificial intelligence take over).
Human societies were inherently based on/ upon the Free Market and social/ societal cohesion (Democracy in one form or another in terms of behavior). Of course it was also more a matter of survival and a dog eat dog world. Then you had Aristocracy/ Monarchy/ Dynasty which was both good and evil. The point of all of this for me is: Why and how did we end up where we are now? And that is the kind of research I've been doing for the last 15 years.
