its interesting listening to this.I was ill for a part of my life.I can identify with this. I was born with it and I wasn't diagnosed until 37years later.
I understand The lining of our digestive system is gradually damaged over a long period of time when eating gluten, including oats. RE:- Oats, Oatmeal - even if it says that it’s gluten free. (Gluten is used to describe a prolamin protein fraction. This gluten fraction is called gliadin in wheat, hordein in barley, secalin in rye and it’s avenin in oats. And this is where there tends to be confusion with oats - which contain the protein avenin, a gluten protein. So if you’ve ever seen products or recipes like ‘gluten free oats’ or ‘gluten free cookies’, this refers to oats that have been grown and processed without coming into contact with wheat, barley or rye.)
Its an autoimmune disease..if it goes un/misdiagnosed, until age 36, it causes your body to become inflammed, damages nerves of your gut permanently damaging your small/large intestines..progresses to other Autoimmune diseases..i have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogrens syndrome, vasculitis and lung, kidney, heart failure..brain fog, poor because of disability. I soldiered through until i couldnt..doctors labelled me anxious and depressed and gave me sedatives..awful.
I have to be completely gluten free other than occasional rice. I cook 99.9 % of my food and as long as I do I remain healthy. It’s taken 30 yrs for my body to heal. Devastating illness.
It took me 3yrs to get diagnosed it was my blood that had problems first ive been diagnosed for 14yrs it is hard to live with but its do able

Awful and unforgivable. 😥
Same for me. Horrible. You must be empowered to heal yourself from the damage with proper self care.
Something i didnt realise until later it can be hereditary
