由澳門市政署舉辦的“盛世蓮花迎雙慶 - 第二十四屆澳門荷花節”，於2024年6月14日至23日在氹仔龍環葡韻舉行，期間在市內多處擺放盆栽荷花供遊人觀賞，同時亦安排了一系列展覽和活動，內容豐富，動靜皆宜，以供當地居民參與。
本屆荷花節主題為“盛世蓮花迎雙慶”，透過展出主題荷花“神州美‧澳”(影片約17分鐘處單層狹長形白色及尖端帶粉紅色花瓣的小型荷花)及眾多適時花卉植物，以慶祝中華人民共和國成立七十五週年及澳門特別行政區成立二十五週年。主要展場的龍環葡韻將以“回家”作為設計思想主軸，共分三區：第一區“蓮花福地”、第二區“霧送荷香飄神州"及第三區“祖國秀麗江山”以寓意澳門回歸祖國的喜悅及祝中國繁榮安定。
今屆荷花節首次展出淺綠色荷花”綠源”，它是經人工利用科技培育而成的新品種，其母本荷花原是淺黃色的“秣陵秋色”。通過利用一種名為鈷60的放射原素，對自然雜交出來的種子進行光照，其過程“就相當於在一個封閉的空間，給荷花種子拍了X光片，讓它產生變異。”終於，培養出一種自然界不會出現的淺綠色荷花。綠源的花蕾有明顯的青綠色，但盛開時，花朵中心地方會漸漸變為淺黃色。

This year's Lotus Festival displays the light green lotus "Luyuan" for the first time. It is a new variety cultivated through artificial use of technology. Its parent lotus was originally the light yellow "Moling Autumn Color". By using a radioactive element called cobalt-60 to illuminate naturally hybridized seeds, the process is "equivalent to taking X-rays of lotus seeds in a closed space to allow them to mutate." , cultivating a light green lotus that does not appear in nature. The flower buds of Luyuan are obviously green, but when in full bloom, the center of the flower will gradually turn to light yellow.
