What’s the yield vs pounds of apples do you get? Looks great!

Great video! I’ve watched both your tomato and apple sauce now I’m going to bet that through your trials and tribulations you’re very qualified to answer my question. Did/have you have problems with the plug not letting enough of the peelings and seeds out? I’m at the point where I’m frustrated with it. I’m either putting the plug in too far or not enough. It doesn’t allow enough of the roughage to escape which in turn doesn’t allow the tomato juice with the right amount of of pulp to come out to make sauce without cooking it until have or half better of the juice left.
Applesauce: does the plug put in the same way for applesauce? Also thinking about peeling the apples and coring them to feed through the larger screen. It would be more work initially but may pay off better in the long run.
    Your thoughts sir?

@cornbread2u2 yes! We've had the same trouble with the plug! Peeling the apples would help, but that kind of defeats the purpose of the machine. We don't have a good solution to share yet.

@@dbeerens1couldn’t agree more! I called LEM Tec support early today and didn’t get much help. They want me send a video of how I’m putting it together. I told them I’m not having a problem putting it together, I’m having a problem with plug and or the screen. They did tell me the plug goes all the way in. Just like pulling teeth! So as I was putting it together I decided to use the high yield screen and noticed there a slot in where the plug goes in that over half inch long. The screen that comes with it is a smaller slot. One of the three screens that you buy is for berries and it’s small also. I processed apples today and cooked them much like you did and ran ten pounds through it like i knew what I was doing 🎉 and didn’t take long at all! I’m pretty sure I’ll be us in the high yield screen when I start in on the tomatoes I froze, we couldn’t keep up with them. If you have any tips of frozen tomatoes please let me know. LEM knows they need to start doing videos with all the dos and don’t while processing actual fruits and berries but they just haven’t started yet. I’ll share anything else i find out about this juice attachment.

Do you know if this will work on other brands of grinders? I have a Cabelas carnivore is like to use with this.

After you do this process, how do you store the apple sauce, so they'll last?

would that work for squash and turnip?

I'm not sure! It might remove the skins from squash after it's baked/cooked. I've never done turnips!

Great job Dad. That young fella will be eating well.
Hint... my wife adds Red Hot candie to a pile of the sauce and cooks down before canning. The kids love it.
