I'm here crying watching this cause for so many years I have watched Hubie (I'm 46 yo) and I feel like hes a special one. He always lifted a player even on those star's off nights. He never criticized a player or a coach. Always positive remarks. I got sad when ESPN fired Mark Jackson and Van Gundy. I always loved the trio Mark, Gundy and Breen together. The trio is gone and now Hubie is gone.

Hubie Brown is my favorite commentator ever since I started watching basketball. He made every game a learning experience even if it was a late night, counts for nothing game in March. The way he just explains the simple stuff that good basketball players need to do, and how later in the broadcast he'll "call back" to that point when the players actually start getting it right. He never gets caught up in the hype of the players, just evaluates what is in front of him and quickly breaks down the X's and O's for people to understand. I hope Hubie continues to "take it strong with two hands" into the next chapter of his life!

It is always a warm, comfortable and caring feeling to be able to see The OG's in the world (those who were on the frontlines of the NBA) to be able to Honor them. Congrats to Mr. Hubie for his contributions to the game of Basketball!!!

Hubie is a true legend, and an integral part of all of our basketball lives (I've watched him since the 80s). He deserves all the love we can give. Happy retirement, Hubie!!!

This man will truly be missed. He coached the Knicks when I started following them as a kid and his career as an analyst is legendary. Thank you, Hubie Brown, for all you've done for the game.

I'll miss hearing his voice. There was something so wholesome of knowing the guy calling the game was there because he loved it, not because it was simply his job.
